I need wedding dreess HELP!!

Hi Lady's... I'm in need of some dress advice! I've been to both Shaffer's and Davids Bridal (twice) looking for the right dress. I have found a lot that would work, but nothing that's just right. I wouldn't say that I'm picky, but I do have a budget. I'm looking to stay under $1000. To make it that much harder, my mom and all of my brides maids all live out of town. I just don't know where to go (or not to go) to find that right dress... Any Suggestions???? Thank you all for your impute!!!

I too am in the same boat and having a hard time finding a dress.  I went to David's and Shaffer's last weekend.  I would recommend trying D'Anellis - Lakewood, Amanda's-Arvada, Bridal World - Lakewood.  Bridal World in Colorado Mills actually had the biggest selection of dresses out of everywhere we went, but don't expect customer service.  They let you look and do your own thing and don't hover over you.  Bridal Collection in DTC was ok for me, didn't have an informal section.  I am going to Little White Dress, Celestial Bridal and Anna Be tomorrow so I will let you know how that goes.  Oh, we also went to Chiyo's and Dina's, both were nice.  I keep hearing I will know when it is the one, I did with my venue, so waiting for that same feeling.  Good luck!

I would say to find that something different dress, The Little White Dress, Anna Be, or Muriel are your best bets. Amanda's, Chiyo's, D'Anelli, Dina's are all fine but they have the same dresses. I thought Anna Be and The Little White Dress had styles I hadn't seen elsewhere..........

I bought my dress in Grand Junction so I wont be too much help, but I did find that having someone there for your whole appt to make selections helps so much. At Davids, my experience was that I grabbed dresses off the rack I liked on the hanger and I couldnt find a dress that looked good on me. My dress I never would have picked up on my own! I have heard such good things about little white dress shop and bridal collection.

Also you could try getting a used dress this is what I did. You can get a dress that is way out of your budget normally but when you buy it used you can afforad it. I did this and loved my dress. Just put used wedding dress into google and tons of wedding sites pop up.

I got my dress (Maggie Sottero- $500) at Something New Boutique in Colorado Springs. I know Amandas bridal had a ton of dresses in the under $1000 price range but I wasnt too impressed with the store itself.I love Anna Be- their Nicole Miller and Essence of Australia dresses are reasonably priced.I was in Lord and Taylor a few weeks ago and they had some adorable dresses that could be worn for a wedding dress for way less than you would pay at a bridal boutique.

I love preownedweddinggowns.com It is amazing how many new and used (worn once) gowns that are on that site! If you find something in your shopping outside your price range, chances are, it will also be on that site but just used! Also, check out pearls place. It is a bridal salon in New Orleans (I think) and they sell and ship gowns from there for cheaper than many of the local salons. If you find a gown you love here that it too expensive, you should call them. I will be selling my gown after my Nov 7 wedding, and there's lots of other brides on here that will be selling gowns, so use us, too!

I went to tons of shops and I really liked D'anellis. They have a really big selection compared to some of the smaller boutiques. I tried on several dresses under $1000. I ended up finding a fabulous Ines di Santo gown at their sample sale for 70% off. They also have a separate store that sells off the rack all the time. I think it's called The Bride's Room and it is a couple doors down from D'anellis. The Bridal Collection has some gorgeous Pronovias gowns for around $1200. Danelles Bridal in CO Springs also has a good selection of affordable dresses. GL!

I was working with the same budget and having the same problem. My all time favorite shop was the Bridal Collection in DTC. Not only is the shop adorable, but they have gorgeous dresses and everyone has been SUPER helpful. I went in 3 or 4 times and called several times with crazy questions about dresses I couldn't find anywhere to try on and no one ever seems annoyed, although they probably should have been! I worked with Dee and like her so much that I told FI I wish I could invite her to the wedding! I can't say enough good things about BC! I also went to D'Anelli's, Amanda's, Schaffer's, Chiyos, and A Total Image (I think that's what it was called). Some of the shops leave a little to be desired, but they all have dresses in w/in that price range. I didn't want to end up in a store that had one dress that I could afford to try on! I tried on 75-100 dresses and was feeling pretty discouraged about finding something I loved w/in the budget. I started feeling crazy trying on those dresses, but it was well worth it. Not only did I find the perfect dress, but I'm also a dress expert now! :)PS... BC seems to have lots of sales. I'm waiting until Oct to order (Pronovias Harlem) because dresses are 10% off and a portion of the proceeds goes to breast cancer.

I liked Bridal Collection in DTC, Anna Be, Blue Bridal (in the Pavilions Shopping Center downtown Denver), D'Annelli's.  I highly recommend trying on lots of dresses to find a style that might suit you.  Once you know what you're looking for style-wise, check bridepower.com, and also preownedweddingdresses.com, e-bay, and thedress board here on the knot.  You may find someone selling the dress you're looking for.  If you find one you like, check with netbride.com, pearlsplace.com, and http://www.leephilipbridals.com/home2.html to see if they carry the dress you're looking for.You could also check with Brides Against Breast Cancer- they've already been to Denver this year, but they've got a huge selection.   Maybe you could road-trip somewhere else they're going?I ordered my Pronovias dress from Lee Phillip Bridal, and it was absolutely perfect in every way.  Stacey was very helpful, and I can recommend them highly.
