reception/ ceremony sites in OC area

Im looking to spend about 15 grand all together...first of all..is this totally impossible (cuz im starting to think it is).....I looked at the mission inn in riverside which i loved...but it seems like if i go with them i will have only like a hundred dollars to spend on everything else- photos, flowers, dj, videographer, bar etc...,.can anyone help me think of some cool venues that are under 20 grand or is this hopeless? I am trying to make my own centerpieces, do my own hair, have friends to the invites....what do yall think? thanks!!!

I don't know how many people you're having, but I'm sure it's possible.  I think there are a couple of posts like this, you might want to check those out for some ideas.

Have you tried The Hacienda in Santa Ana?  We are having our reception there for about 150 people and the cost is under $13K.  It's a really beautiful venue.  Diamond in the rough!

I highly recommend Cafe Mozart in San Juan Capistrano. They have a beautiful Spanish style courtyard and amazing food. Chef Hans is the best! His wife Carla makes cakes which are to die for. They have taken great care of me and my FI's needs and wants; including allowing him to bring in his homemade specialty beer for the taosts. You can get married in the courtyard or in the "Sky Chapel"-basically on top of a two story balcony under an old mission bell. Across the train tracks is Stacey Fitts of Floral Occassions and she is wonderful at translating ideas into reality. She helped me translate my idea of non-floral centerpieces into an easy do it myself project. And honestly, we are on target to maintain our $13K budget. If you like to old mission style or European atmosphere, check out San Juan Capistrano.

We are getting married on a yatch in Newport harbor. It is reasonably priced, dependig on how many people you are going to have at  your wedding. Thay are a great venue. They help you with everything. You will love them. You dont need a lot of decoration since you are getting married on a yatch in the harbor. The name of the company is Electra Cruises.

Don't despair - it's totally doable!  My budget was $10,000 for everything - including dress, hair, etc. - and we were going to have the ceremony and reception at the Villa del Sol in Fullerton.  It used to be an old Spanish style hotel but now has several shops on the lower level (that close when events are scheduled). It has a great courtyard (already decorated - save $$$!) with a fountain and three on-site catering options. We had invited about 70 people to our wedding and we were about to pay $6000 for all of the catering, tables, chairs, servers, site rental, etc. (FYI - No drama to report.  We just decided to get married at an historic courthouse in OC and go to a wine bar with friends afterwards instead)Best of Luck!

The French Estate in Orange is really cute, and very affordable.  The only thing is that your wedding has to end by 9pm and it only holds 150 or under.I am getting married at the George G. Golleher Alumni house at Cal State fullerton.  I am on a tight budget and am doing a lot of DIY projects.  I have invited 205 guests and am hoping to stay under $15,000.  So far so good.Best of Luck.  It is absolutely possible to have a beautiful budget wedding.

I am having my ceremony and reception at Mesa Verde Country Club in Costa Mesa. The event coordinator there has been wonderful and the place is beautiful. I would strongly recommend them.
