Vender Review - 09/06/09

Vendor Reviews – Tulsa, OK 09/06/09   My wedding (and planning) was picture perfect.  Being very organized help ease lots of stress for everyone.  Of coarse there were a few glitches along the way, as you should  expected when you are planning an event, but my advice to any bride to be is just to go with the flow when things are exactly they way you planned.  Because at the end of the day, you will be married to the man of your dreams!    PreWedding Events Review – Hope this helps someone out there!     Bac Party OKC (Renaissance Downtown OKC – A+ Passion Parties – A+++http://meganelias.yourpassionconsultant.com/ Rok Bar – B++ ) We started with the passion party in the hotel room.  Megan has a great personality.  Some of the guests were unsure at first, but by the end of the party, everyone was having a blast.  It really help set a great mood for the night.  Then we moved down the bar area of the hotel and has a private appetizer party.  The hotel really made us feel like we were VIP’s and even called a complimentary limo to drop us off in Bricktown.  The food was surprisingly great and service was very impressive.  From there we bar hopped.   Rehearsal Dinner - Bixby Clubhouse Bar and Grille A+++ Service was amazing and the food spectacular.  I can’t say enough about how great the service was.   Wedding Review - Tulsa   Dresser Mansion, Tulsa OK – A (Ceremony and Reception locations) The mansion was the perfect place for the intimate setting we were looking for. The garden area was beautiful for the ceremony and the reception was in the mansion in the main hall.  The room held all our guest comfortably and everyone one felt as if they were part of the wedding.  The venue is the perfect for a buffet style dining with guest list under 100 (inside) and could accommodate more outside.  One huge plus, they have lots of tables and chairs so we only had to rent china and table cloths and the owner was on hand all day to assist with the set up and take down and help organize the vendors.  http://www.dressermansion.com/   The Tulsa Wedding DJ – Zach Downing – A++ (Ceremony Music and Reception Music) He was amazing!  He has an online planning tool that made my life very easy and he was very helpful and responsive to anything we needed.   One suggestion he gave saved us $600.00!  He kept the party going and really was able to achieve the exact mood we wanted for the reception.  Everyone had a great time.   http://www.tulsaweddingdj.com/   Andrea Murphy Photography – A + (Engagement and Wedding photos) She has a great eye for capturing in the moment shots.  We have so many great photos of our wedding!  She is very creative, fun to working with and most of all affordable, flexible with budgets.  My Hubby and I both feel we are not photogenic, but she made us look great!  She is a true artist. http://amurphyphoto.com/     The Bridal Garden – Lindi Collins – A ++ (All bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and add’l flowers needed for centerpieces, and decoration labor as needed.) I did not have a clue when it came to flowers, but knew I wanted all white/cream flowers, with lots of texture and peacock feathers.  She produces beautiful bouquets – more beautiful than I imagined they would be!   She also decorated the arbor, banister and was able to provided additional flowers (at about ½ the cost of Sam’s) for us to create our own centerpieces.  She works out of her house and has a warehouse to store flowers, so she is able to keep her cost down.  She has the cutest personality and such a treat to work with.  http://www.bridalgardenbylindi.com/index2.php     Ludger’s Catering and Cakes – Scott Sherrill – B+ - Scott was very easy to work with and very affordable.  He also handled the linens for me which was a tremendous help.  We had lots of compliments on the food and service that was provided the day, such as pre-busing, set up, clean up, etc.   Only glitch, we had a menu item omitted, but got a prompt refund on the amount.  http://www.ludgers.com/     Blue Label Bartending – Garrett (owner) /Tami (day of bartender) – B minus Garrett made excellent suggestions, created a custom liquor list and had good communication for all pre-event planning.  The day of bartender, Tami, fell short of our expectation.   After discussing her shortfalls, Garrett issued us a credit for 5 hours of bartending which help make up for her less than stellar performance.  She was adequate in that she stood behind the bar and poured drinks, but failed to serve the drinks we requested during the pre-wedding cocktail reception.  She also didn’t know what was in inventory and turned guest away, until my husband overheard and got the back stock of liquor for her to continue serving.   I would still recommend Blue Label.  They are very affordable, but would recommend meeting the bartender prior to your event. http://bluelabelbartending.com/   Ann’s Bakery – B minus – Our cake was tasty, but the decorations were not exactly what we ordered.  When I check on my order a few weeks from the wedding, they had lost my order, so I had to place it again and made some alterations.  Eventually they found my original order with my ½ down deposit – I think having “two orders” help created the issue with the decoration.  Still a very beautiful product. http://www.annsbakery.com/cakes.html     Facchiano’s Bridal – C minus (Bridal Gown and all Tuxedos.)  They did everything correct, but they were rude to our bridal party.  I had several complaints about there demeanor.  And they were very quite pricy.    www.netbride.com A (Bride’s Maid Dresses) The dresses were so pretty, high quality and very affordable.  It takes about 2 months to arrive, but worth the wait.
