Ok, so before anybody asks: I'm not the biggest fan of Halloween. I never was, I know, there's something wrong with me. Anyway, the office I work at started doing a costume contest last year ... which I didn't participate in, because I'm just not into Halloween. I think part of this is because growing up my family didn't have a lot of money, and my mom's not as creative as she likes to credit herself for, but pretty much my "costumes" always consisted of wearing clothes I already owned (Like a "farmer", a "hippie", or a "baby"). And it was always dictated to me what I was going be, like say, one year if I felt like being a hippie, my mom would just be like "No, you can't do that this year" and not give me a reason. And rather than fight with her (A), its futile, and

, I hate fighting), I just gave in and gave up .. I pretty much stopped dressing up after middle school due to lack of caring. So I never really got to get excited about "being" something or having a totally kick
@$$ costume or anything like that. Well, my "mommy issues" aren't the point. The point is, this year (Since not enough people participated last year, I guess), upper management has pretty much decreed that participation is "mandatory". So I have to actually come up with a costume this year. So since I actually have the freedom to do something I want (That's dress code appropriate), I wanted to actually give this a legit chance. I haven't dressed up since I was like 12, so I'm feeling a little "short bus" about the whole situation. I still fit into my senior prom dress, which is pink, poufy and covered in sparkly things, so I was thinking maybe if I changed at work (There's no way I can drive in this thing), I could get some accessories and be Glinda The Witch of The North (In honor of my recent excursion to see "Wicked"). ***CLIFFS NOTES: Must dress up for work this year, not used to getting dressed up, thinking about wearing my prom dress and being Glinda The Good Witch*** Does this sound like a good idea or completely lame? Also, if you think its lame, do you have any other suggestions? TIA!
