Vendor Reviews: (I apologize in advance for the typos, I'm typing fast to get out of work) Location- A+ Balcones Country Club, Rachel Gill is the events coordinator. I'm trying not to be the person that does a million plus signs on each vendor but honestly this one deserves it. I originally had a different coordinator and Rachel took over about two months out from the wedding. I was terrified but in the end it was the biggest blessing in disguise. she is AMAZING and made my life so much easier I can't even tell you. Even my guests and family commented on how awesome she was. We got married on the golf course on a beautiful tee box overlooking a lake with a fountain in it. The reception was about a 1/2 mile away at the country club. I can't rave enough about this location! Photographer- A+ Hemeranyx photography, Melissa Glynn. I'm already giving her an A+ even without all the pictures back. The teasers I have seen are wonderful, our e-pics were amazing and she is SO easy to work with! Price was great also! Cake- A-. Judy Irish (works out of home) 773-4587. Cake wasn't super important to me so I didn't spend a ton of time thinking about it or working on it. I had a very simple three layer white cake with flowers and chocolate ribbon. Our groomscake was more intricate with the texas longhorns adn writing on it (plus burnt orange butter cream frosting in the middle!). Judy gave us an amazing deal- both cakes for under $400 becuse we know her brother in law but that was only about 25% under her normal cost. The cake was DELICOUS! Even Melissa, who has probably tasted a million cakes, asked who made it. The only reason I give an A- is because it was ever so slightly leaning
Flowers- A+ Central Market, Donna Foster. again I have refrain from a million plus signs. Donna's prices were unbeatable, she was completely stress free and amazing. I was blown away by how beautiful the boquet's turned out! DJ- A+ Byrne Rock. I am fairly music illiterate. I like music, I just know nothing about it. I gave Byrne full control at the wedding, no must or must not play list at all. He was great!!! The dance floor was rocking all night, great mix of slow and fast songs. Seriously, just aweesome! String Trio- A sarinda Strings. Honestly it's hard for me to give a review on this one. Since our golf course wedding kept me in the car waiting during the prossecional the only music I heard them play was the wedding march and the recessional. I'm sure they did a great job though and were easy to work with. Officate- A+ Kate Bares-Johnson,
www.thecenterforwellbeing.com. Kate wrote our whole ceremony and our vows. She was completely in sync with us and perfect to work with! She is soft spoken so a microphone was necessary but that was no problem at all! Dress- B+ Davids Bridal. Honestly there's no specific complaints, I LOVE my dress but davids bridal was fairly hard to work with. They gave us the wrong size BM dress twice and their alterations quote was outrageous! Alterations- A+ Alexia Gavela. Then I found this place! They did all my alterations for a fraction of the DB quote, steamed and stored it until the wedding. they were great! I think that covers it
