Gerber Daisies

Hi all.. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this topic.. I want to put together my centerpieces and bouquets out of gerber daisies.  My questions are how many gerber daisies can make a full looking bouquet?  Also, has anyone tried to put flowers in a wine bottle?  If so.. how many fit? Thanks

You could probaly put 3-5 gerbers in a wine bottle, if they don't have those plastic green straws on the stems (used to hold them upright). Without the straws, the stems or blooms tend to droop. As far as how many will look nice a "full" bouquet, it depends on the size of the blooms, if you have any filler flowers or greenery, or how big you want your bouquet. I'd think about 12 to 18 would be good, for averaged size gerber blooms.

I did DIY gerbera bouquets and used 7 flowers for the BM bouquets at 15 for mine.  In retrospect, I probably would have done 11 or 13 for mine, 15 made for a pretty hefty bouquet.  PIB if you want to see how it looks. Gerbera stems are pretty thick, I imagine you could probably only fit 3 in a wine bottle.  You can also wire them to prevent them from drooping (which you should definitely do for your bouquets, if not your centerpieces).  I have wiring directions in the planning section of my bio.
