My wedding is April 28th and I am scheduled to work until the Tuesday before. One of my co-workers has pink-eye and is still in the office and everything. I am so nervous that she is contagious and I do not want to catch pink eye with my wedding in 9 days!

Oh man... Tuesday can't get here quick enough

How are the other April 28th Brides doing?!

Pink eye is contageous, but only through touch. So, as long as you try to stay away & not touch things she has touched, you should be fine. If you touch things in a communal area (doors, microwave, coffee pot), just make sure to wash your hands after & keep them away from your own eyes.

I hear ya. Everyone in my office is sick! Coughing up all sorts of nasty stuff. I'm washing my hangs constantly!

Mine too! I'm also April 28th and I've had a lingering cough for a few weeks... it'd better be gone by then!!!

I'm also working until next Tuesday. So much to do before then! I'm out until Tuesday, May 1st, so it's going to be a rough re-entry.

How long are you all taking off? And are you going on an immediate honeymoon? We are waiting until next summer since we have to visit relatives who couldn't make the wedding this year and can't afford two trips

My first day off is next Thursday, the 26th. Leaving for our honeymoon on the 30th and return to work May 9th. Cannot wait!!

We are going to Atlantic City from Sunday until Tuesday - except the FI doesn't know yet. It is my wedding gift to him. We are getting married about 40 minutes away from AC so just a quick drive and a few days away to be together.

Taking your "honeymoon" next year will be a great way to celebrate your 1st anniversary!!!</font>

I am also April 28th. I am working through Thursday the 26th. Until then I am doing my best to distance myself from places that look full of germs, like bars and busy resturants, or places young kids frequent alot! Haha

I'm a 28th bride also, and my last day is Tuesday. We're leaving for the honeymoon on the 29th, returning the 5th and I'm going back to work on the 7th. The honeymoon will be a WELL NEEDED vacation. Luckily, knock on wood, no one around me is sick. I'm not stressing the details too much, what's done is done. Honestly, I'm stressing the event itself. Our brunch reception is going to be pretty simple compared to the extravagant weddings our circle of friends have had (paid for by parents..not so much in our case) so I feel like "What if everybody is bored or totally hates it?!" Oh well, what can you do?

Agree w/ everyone prior - I'm also Apr 28 and am beyond excited for some time off and away w/ FI. I'm taking off April 26-May 8th and return the 9th. I have been nervous of all the sick people in my office too but like Renata said - washing your hands is key! And I've been using hand sanitizer constantly.

I'm the 28th bride also and my last day is Wednesday. I'm going to Miami then on a 5 day cruise from there. I can't wait. Like you 0inlove, my buffet lunch reception is going to be pretty simple also, since I planned my wedding in 2 months and paid for it myself. If everyone hates it, that's their problem. We did the best we could with what little we had. I let them know on our website that this was a simple informal affair.. and that we just wanted them there to share in our special day. I am so glad that the first thing I paid for was the honeymoon. :-)

I'm getting married on April 27. I'm only taking off the day before and the day of the wedding, then I'm back to work that Monday. But we have a week-long trip to NYC the following week and then are taking a nearly 3 week honeymoon in July. Can't wait!

I'm also on the 28th and have had a persistent cough for 3 weeks now! Hopefully the antibiotic, inhaler and nasal spray my doc gave me will knock it out!! My last day was yesterday, and I'm taking off until May 14; our wedding is in NJ, but we live in Cali, so we'll stop for one day in Cali before going off on the honeymoon for 2 weeks. Can't wait!!!
