Hello September Brides! Due to unforeseen situations, FI and I have moved our wedding from October 6th to September 29th. So now I am a September bride. FI and I are getting married in Lafayette, IN. I am currently a Purdue student, and FI is a recent Purdue graduate. Our families are from opposite ends of the state, so meeting halfway between makes sense to us. Plus we met at Purdue and have spent our entire relationship here.
Wedding info: We are inviting ~150 people, but with half being OOT we aren't sure how many will RSVP. The ceremony, at 3:30, is at our church in downtown Lafayette. The cocktail hour and dinner reception will be held at our favorite restaurant, just 4 blocks away from the church. Our colors are navy, fuscia and silver. Our theme (if you want to call it that) is twisted tradition. We are paying respect to traditional wedding elements, but are putting our own spin on things and doing them a bit differently.
BP and Attire: I have my dress (
click). I am replacing the flower with a beaded sash. The veil is a single layer, mid-back length with beading all the way around. I love bling but don't want to be gaudy (not a Gypsy bridal or toddle beauty queen). FI and I have 4 attendants each. My girls are in navy dresses above the knee, all from David's. The dresses are all different becuase my girls all have different body types. The can chose any sort of pink or nude shoe. If they want jewelery, I only ask that it is pink or silver. I'm so not into being all matchy. FI chose a black-on-black pinstripe tux for him and the guys. FI will have ivory tie and vest, and the GM will have silver.
That's about all we know at the moment. I look forward to getting to know all of you and share this wedding adventure with you!
Love and Blessings
