Photographer recommendations

I've been lurking on the knot for quite some time, but this is my first post. FI and I will be having our wedding on July 31 at Edgewater Pavilion in Windsor. We're currently trying to find a photographer. It's proving to be much more difficult than I anticipated because FI is very picky. He really likes more of an artsy style and prefers candids to posed pics. The problem is that all the ones I've found that have this style are over our budget. I'm looking for recommendations of photographers that have more of an artsy style and have packages under $2500. TIA!

Rene Tate is really awesome. Her style is definitely different than the posed traditional wedding photography you see, much more candid and natural. I would say she is more photojouralistic than "artsy" but it's definitely worth looking at her portfolio.Website: www.renetate.comBlog: www.renetatephotography.comYou should definitely check out her blog for her most recent work, in the past few years she had really honed her skills!GL!

We have looked around a bit and think we are going with Line of Sight Photography.  We talked to quite a few people and he just meshed with our personalities.  Carl is very knowledgeable and takes beautiful pictures.  He has great prices.  We are really looking at probably getting the Full Coverage package.http://lineofsightphoto.com/index2.php?v=v1hopefully this helps!!

Welcome! We used Lindsay J Lack. I think her packages right now are $1500 for EVERYTHING toned and full printing rights. She has done photojournalism for a number of years and has a great style. Not to mention a complete sweetie! I know of the other girls have booked with her as well. lindsayjphoto dot com

Porchlight Images is fantastic! We just got our e-pics back and LOVE them! They're a husband & wife team and have *incredibly* affordable packages! We wanted candids as well, and Ryan took a ton of pictures and was really creative with different backdrops (we took them up in the mountains). They're also really down to earth, easy going people and don't gouge you on all of the extras (hi res pics, unlimited hours, extra prints, etc)- that's another big reason we went with them.
