Wedding in 3 weeks...Need Ceremony Guitarist

A family friend was going to play his guitar at our wedding. He, unexpectedly, has to have surgery and can't make it.  My fiance's reaction was, "why do you need music anyway"? Do you girls think it's absolutely necessary?  I'm kind of on the fence...althought I'm not sure I've been to a wedding without music.  If we're going to try to find someone in the next three weeks, do you have any guitarist recommendations?  We'd prefer not to have traditional music...maybe an acoustic guitar playing more modern selections.  How much is reasonable to pay?TIA!

I'm using Stephen Bright with Cathedral Guitar. I'm not sure because I didn't pay, but from my initial research, guitarists can cost anywhere from $200-$400 and up. I think Stephen is somewhere in the middle. http://www.cathedralguitar.com/Contacts.html

I am booking an acoustic guitarist for our ceremony too - non-classical. If you want the names & e-mails for the 3 guys I narrowed it down from lemme know. They are all in the $200-$300 range for a 2 hour gig. trisha_sumpter at yahoo dot com

Hmm, I can't do math... but assuming your wedding is NOT Oct. 24th in the evening (my date) I have a guitarist I'd highly recommend!  He is great about learning songs you like (fun, modern ones) and is very reasonably priced.  You can email at jfornario at yahoo.com if you'd like more info.
