Major tipping confusion!!

OK everyone let me tell you guys my whole situation so you can tell me who you think i should tip!The food- my sister in law's friend who does it on the side- the dinner is chicken alfedro- apps are stuffed mushrooms, salad, baked brie, pesto cheese ball etc... only 600 for 100 ppl so great deal!!!the dj- paid 750-owners own company is my brothers co-worker/friendth photographer- 7 hours for 1200, no charge for location change, sh gave us $50 off- owns hr companyso how should we tip???

  • Our catering budget turned out to be around that same price, so we are tipping $150 because she is way cheaper than we expected.Don't know about the other 2.

  • Not sure about the DJ and photographer, but you are getting an insanely good deal on catering. I'd probably give her $500, because I can't see how she's making a cent on the deal...
  • The first two are giving you awesome deals because they are people you are connected to. Either research what other people would charge you or ask what their normal rates are, and tip 20% based on those rates. (Similar to going to a restaurant and using a gift card or discount - you tip on the amount before discount, not including tax.)If the photographer owns her company, she doesn't need a tip, but it would be nice to give her a little extra.
