Cheap Save the dates--need suggestions

Looking for some cheap save the date suggestions!  I really like magnets and post cards...especially the photo ones, but googling that didn't help too much.  Anyone have any suggestions for me? THANKS MUCH:)

Vistaprint! If you sign up for their emails, you'll immediately get a ton of special offers. I got 125 save the date magnets (business card size), for like $40. If you have a "spam" email account, you might want to use that, though...they'll send you special offer emails pretty much every day.

if you're creating a website then you could do email save the dates.  That's what I did.  Worked pretty well.

I'm in the process of designing my on on photoshop. I have design experience, so it is fun for me, but if you want to make it easy on yourself just use Word and print out on cardstock to make your "postcards."

$.33 each for postcards at the walmart photo studios, they have specific save the dates and are ready in an hour! You can even choose to put them on stationairy instead of photo paper!

Is your wedding in the district?  Our wedding is, and since all of my family is OOT, it is sort of a destination wedding for them.  We are decided to use DC postcards, we went to this souvenir shop downtown and bought 4 books (33 in each) for our STD - total cost of the postcards $50.  We will create nice labels with the save-the-date information and print them out at home.  I think the total - including labels and stamps will be around $125.If you want I can email you a picture of the sample, we are going to be putting them together in the next few weeks.  Let me know.  I am mzeidner at gmail dot com.

I did vistaprint postcards, mine with shipping was $9 for 100 postcards. If you sign up for their emails, they're always doing 100 postcards free. There was a couple dollar fee to upload our pic and then shipping, but you can't beat the cost :)

We did post cards from VistaPrint! Like PP said if you sign up for their emails, you'll get coupons almost immediately for FREE stuff. I got 100 free postcards, then paid a little extra to upload my own photo and to get printing on both sides. With shipping I think the total came to around $20. With postage we ended up paying $37 total. So... that comes out to be 37 cents per save the date. Can't beat it!

I made a cute photo postcard in Photoshop and had it printed through overnightprints.com. It was $25 for 100 color, front and back prints with the gloss finish. I thought they turned out great!

I did color photo magnets from magnetstreet.com.  75 magnets for $125 and they arrived 4 days after I ordered.  Great quality (they are pretty heavy), look great and mail at the regular postage rate.

I ordered my save-the-date postacards from Zazzle. They arrived in less than a week. We were happy with the design and the quality. I did not like having to pay $10 in shipping, though. I ordered return address labels through Vistaprint. I was not happy with them. It took a long time to get them, and even then they shipped them in separate envelopes and I received 2 batches several days apart. Also, the background on the label looked white on my screen, and i didn't see a color option or description of the background on their site. When I got them, the background was cream colored. Ugh. I was not happy about that, but they are only return address labels.

a good option is to check out Etsy and have someone customize one for you, then you can either have it printed on Vistaprint or at a local photo center (Kodak, Walmart, etc). You can see some examples of Save the Dates that I have done here:www.JulieHoogDesigns.etsy.com:)
