Florist:  Donna Foster, Central Market; A;  Donna was extremely helpful and affordable.  She was flexible and even met with us on a Saturday since we are from out of town.  She was very honest with what would and would not work for our wedding day.  She also came in a full third less than all the other florists we met with (and we met with a lot).  The flowers the day of were beautiful.  The only downfall is that she does not communicate via email and can be hard to reach on phone.  But for the price and quality, it is totally worth it. DJ:  Kevin Smith with FC Media, A;  Kevin was wonderful and had a very detailed pre-wedding meeting with us.  He went through every genre of music and had us rate it to gauge the best music to play.  He also went through a thorough timeline with us.  He started out our reception with music very appealing to our older guests and then we got the party started.  The dancefloor was packed.  He was a great DJ and never did anything cheesy or over the top.  He also performed our ceremony music and did a great job. Photographer:  Ashley with Studio 563; A (pending):  The only reason I give her an A instead of A+ is because I haven’t received the images yet (it’s only been a week since the wedding).  Leading up to the wedding, Ashley and Studio 563 were wonderful and great to work with.  The entire studio is made of awesome people.  Ashley was EVERYWHERE the day of the wedding so I know there will be great shots.  I’m sure I will give her an A+ once the images are completed.  I can’t wait to see them and put together our album since their great albums was one of the reasons we went with Studio 563. Cakes: Michelle’s Patisserie; A:  Michelle was great and also met with us on a Saturday morning since we are from out of town (which is almost unheard of from wedding vendors!).  She has some greats cakes in her portfolio and they were the most delicious that we tasted.  The only reason Michelle get an A instead of A+ is due to a little miscommunication before the wedding.  Our final invoice didn’t exactly match what we decided and it took a few times to get it right.  But when it came down to it, the wedding cake was delicious and exactly what we wanted.  DH liked his cake but it wasn’t exactly like the photo he had shown her and wanted.  Everyone raved on the taste of the cakes. Videographer:  Richard Lizama; A (pending):  I decided at the last minute to get a videographer and found Richard through another Knottie recommendation.  He was very accommodating and worked with my budget.  His samples on his website (www.richardlizama.com) were great, especially for the price.  He was also everywhere the day of the wedding so I know whatever we get will be great.  Will give another update once the video is completed. Transportation:  Antique Limos of Austin; A+:  We rented the Cadillac to pick us up from the venue and take us to our hotel.   Everyone loved the car.   They were there on time and got us to the hotel safely.  What more can you ask for? Dress and BM dresses:  Stardust Celebrations in Plano; A+; Stardust has a wonderful selection and great sales staff.  They were by far the best place I visited and take care of everything for you from alterations and holding the dress until the big day.  My dress didn’t need any alterations, just the bustle, because their staff measured me so well.  My girls’ dresses and FG dress were wonderful also.  I’m kinda sad I won’t be able to go back there, it was always fun walking through the doors! Tuxedos: Men’s Warehouse; A-; The location options  and convenience were wonderful.  Since we got married out of town, the guys were able to pick up the tuxes at any location and return them at an Austin location the next day.  The only downfall is we didn’t think they had a great selection of vests so we ended up renting vests and ties at a local Dallas laundry/formal rental shop which ended up costing us a bit more money.    Alcohol:  Specs; A; Specs and Jim at the 290 location were very helpful with our alcohol selection and you can't beat the price and selection.  I do think their estimations were a little conservative.  We upped our order from their recommendation 3 times and had just enough champagne, only 3 cases of beer left and a few cases of wine left.  We do have a heavy group of drinker.Rehearsal Dinner: Iron Cactus; A+; Our RD was wonderful.  The private room was excellent and so was the bar and food.  It was all delicious.  I would highly recommend Iron Cactus. If I forgot anything, let me know!  I hope this helps anyone planning.

I used the Central Market on North Lamar.  I also forgot two important reviews: Hair: Zig Zag Salon, Melody and Frieda; A+ - Melody and Frieda did hair my for myself and 3 of my bridesmaids.  They did a wonderful job on all of us and our hair stayed all night (we had an outdoor wedding and did of a ton of dancing so that was impressive).  They were also super fast and friendly.Makeup:  Adrienne Pitkin; A+ - Adrienne did makeup for myself and 4 bridesmaids.  The makeup lasted all night and looked great.  I looked about the same at the end of the night as I did when Adrienne finished me.  I got the airbrush and it was awesome, I highly recommend it.  She also did the makeup at Zig Zag while we got hair done which was super convenient.

I'm so glad your experience with The Terrace Club was great! I'm getting married there next month. I know it might be a little early, but do you have pictures you could share? I would love to get ideas! Thanks for the review!

Sorry, I don't have any pictures back yet.  It will be another two weeks I think.  As far as the photographer, it was between $2500-3500.  I do know they have had some pricing changes since we booked.  That cost does include a wonderful album that is quite expensive on its own.
