  this is just a guess, but I bet if you bought the "goody" clips at a beauty store, you'd pay less than the same clips marketed as "kippah" clips

  We just did bobby pins- about $3 for 100 of them from any drug store.

  I went to a dollar store and got the clips there. If I hadn't been able to find them, I would have gone with bobby pins. I thought the clips were so expensive in most places!

  They are the exact same clips - I wear black ones in my hair every day. I'm not sure if the site I plan to order my kippot supplies them at a good deal; if not, then I just plan on getting my own at a beauty store.  Last time I went to buy black ones, I got about 20 for $2, so if I hunt around, I can find the lighter color ones - it's just a matter of doing the leg work.  If I'm lazy, then I'll just order them with the kippot.

  The place we ordered from included clips-- some of the kippah vendors do that, which is why we picked that one.
