question about tea lights

so i was thinking (worrying) today about my choice to use tea lights in my centerpiece instead of votives since it's cheaper. i know some people who have already gotten married still come on here so here is my question for you: if you used tea lights how long did they last and did it look tacky on the tables once they went out?

I haven't had my wedding yet and I'm actually not using candles at all but I just wanted to offer up a suggestion since you're looking at them. Have you considered using the battery operated ones? It's just a thought.

I also would recommend the battery-operated tealights. I'm using them for my reception in March, and I found an awesome deal at Costco a couple weeks back. 28 for $13.99!! That's pretty much unheard of!

They usually only last a few hours (maybe 2-3). I'd suggest buying a few and doing a test run to see how long they last.

My battery-operated LED tealight candles last for 80 hours!

I used votives. The tealights don't last long enough and I wanted the candle light all evening. If you don't mind them not lasting all evening I wouldn't spend extra money for votives. It depends on your preference.

Yeah, I think you should use votives as well. Tealights won't last the typical four hours.
