Is it just me or what?

Insomnia is totally kicking-in my system since the beginning of October.  Mainly because our guest count can potentially go over 150 guests instead of our original count of 125.  I'm now freaking out bec there might not have enough space at the reception in our vineyard! I really want to cry but I can't even cry bec of too much stress.  I feel like I'm a failure when it comes to wedding planning.  I mean I'm "supposed" to be great in project planning but I went over our budget.  Is this normal? Are there any other brides who can empathize with me?  :-(

You're not alone! I woke up three times last night thinking of things I had to do for work, wedding, life, etc. I finally went to FI's apt. at 3am so that I could sleep better since I know he's there. I told FI last night that I feel like a time bomb. I'm either really excited or going to blow from frustration from some stupid little thing going wrong from moment to moment. I am a super organized planner (had the whole wedding booked in just a month!) and things just come up that you dont expect. It just is nothing you can know until you experience it for yourself. Keep your chin up, and just remember, we aren't in total control of everything, and have to let some things go! You will marry the one you love SOON and in the end it is worth it!!

Both my FI and I haven't been sleeping well... We didn't really use a budget, just went for the "basics" because we were doing it on a shoe string.... so whenever we were able to come up with more money, we just added something new that I wanted to do. It ended up working out pretty well for us. I would say that if you are over your budget and still early enough in the game, start saving money here and there... we stopped going out to eat, stopped going to starbuck's and tried to reduce all of our spending.... because of this, we were able to save enough to have the wedding that we really want! But, it definitely took hard work and planning. Utilize those planning skills with your budget, you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish!! Oh! Also, try to negotiate the pricing with all of your vendors.... see if they will work a better deal for you! It doesn't hurt to ask and sometimes you can get some really great deals!
