Fall Fest at 7 Springs

So, is the Fall Fest worth it? The package for two nights is $430! It includes the room, 2 breakfasts, lift tickets to see the trees & leaves, and 1 dinner buffet. Any opinions?

I've never been - but I guess my question is what else are you going to do, and how much more will it cost you? You're obviously not going to spend your entire time there looking at leaves and trees.

Um, watch tv? Haha. No, I don't know. Maybe the Alpine Slide and possibly sit and talk about our love for each other and our hopes and dreams? (haha) Who knows. What else is there to do?

Definitely not worth it.  You should most certainly skip it and have an open schedule on October 17th.

Sounds like they are raising the price just becuz it is Fall Fest. $430 is a LOT, especially if you are going to be eating/drinking for your other meals of the day, and that is not included....then gas money, etc. There is a log cabin lodge up there...wonder what the cost for that is. Maybe staying outside of 7 Springs wouls be cheaper. Are there hotels/lodges outside of 7 Springs?

Haha, Stace... I know. But I should probs consider DH as well as other plans. :P JBee - The cabin and condo price is the same as the lodge room price, so I guess that's something. Who knows. I'll see what Mike thinks. I would love to just get away and relax for a few days.

Huh, interesting. I will have to compare the cost to 7 Spring resort since the cabin place doesn't include any food. But it looks so cute. Thanks!!

Definitely plan a few days away! But if you can do it cheaper, why not? Good luck figuring something out!

My FI mom has a condo that she privately rents out various times of the year and I know other condo owners do the same. Try craigslist to see if you can get a good deal on a condo for the weekend you want to go. The condos are still on Seven Springs property, but because they are privately owned you can usually get a much better deal than you would at the lodge. Plus you are able to cook your own meals if you want, and relax by your own fireplace. And there is free shuttle service down to the lodge from any of the condos that runs until 2am.HTH

That sounds kinda steep to me for two nights. It'd be interesting to look and see what each of those components would cost individually--could be that all the hotel prices are inflated because of the festival (or maybe they're always that expensive), but if we're assuming even $150 per night for the hotel (and then the other stuff adding up to a total of $130), that doesn't seem like a great bargain to me. I'm sure you could get two breakfasts and a dinner for cheaper than that--but don't know how much the lift tix might cost on their own.
