DOC Recommendations?

Hi all,
I used a previous DOC thread to reach some coordinators for help.  Manette Gracie was booked, Shannon/Teasha will be on materity leave next summer, and other DOC's I heard back from were all well over $1,000!

The first two were expected to be $500 for DOC which is perfect for me.

Any other reco's out there for about $500?  I will have basically everything planned, but need to rely on the DOC to keep everything organized and get it decorated while I'm off getting hair/makeup done and taking pictures. (We only get access to the ballroom an hour before the ceremony is supposed to start!)

Thanks!

I am using Exquisite Events and got a deal from them for a spring wedding.  I'm not sure that would work for high season but it's worth looking into.  A better bet for you might be Christine at Belle Nuit Events.  My friend used her and she was awesome and well priced at the time.  Good luck.

    I'm using Laura Gram, but she's a little more than $500. laura.gram@yahoo.com

She's already earned every penny and I haven't had my wedding yet!

Hey Enlightened1, do you mind my asking how much over $500 Laura Gram is charging?

Also, @ Jennlin, I'm not sure which of them is pregnant they didn't say.

I'll follow up with Christine about her pricing.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I used The invisiable Hostess and they have three different pricing levels. I cant rememebr how much thier lowest price was but we used the med price and it was like $995. Sorry, I know it doesnt help a lot, but I know they have a lower price, I just dont know what it is!

    Hi Erin,
I noticed your posting and I wanted to let you know, I'm currently running a web special on DOC for up to 5 couples who are getting married in the next 12 months. Have a look at my ad and let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to meet with you and hear about your wedding!
    Take care,

Enjoy an Experienced Events Planner and Designer for Half the Cost!

I am a highly experienced events producer specializing in corporate and promotional events as well as large scale galas and fundraising events. This year, I’m expanding my practice and venturing into the wonderful world of weddings, but before I dive in, I'd like to take on five couples who are looking for services and give them a great deal on wedding planning and design. In exchange, I'm looking for feedback on my performance, photos from the wedding and a testimonial letter– all to be used on my website. Sound interesting? Read on!

    About me:
With 9 years of events production and design experience, I bring an extensive vendor list and relationships with some of the most unique and creative people this city has to offer. Whether you're looking for a hip Seattle band for your reception, vintage fedoras for all of the groomsmen, or a venue unlike any other, chances are - I can help you find exactly what you're searching for. I’m creative. I stay within the budget and I absolutely love what I do. Plus, I have a sense of humor and believe in keeping things fun and engaging.

When it comes to the day of your wedding - it's my greatest desire to keep everyone smiling and having a wonderful time. It's your big day after all, and you should be taking in every moment without a single worry.

Here is what I can offer:
$400 The Big Day of Coordination: This is for the couple that has everything checked off of their list, but they’d prefer to be a guest at their well-planned party. This package includes the following:

    • A consultation at the location of your wedding six weeks prior in order to walk-through the space, and get a feel for your wedding day desires.
    • We'll then take a look at your vendor contracts and decide on the schedule for your wedding day and who is responsible for which elements. We'll go over every last detail from the arrival of your linens to how you're going to get those amazing gifts home while you're heading off to your honeymoon.
    • I'll then confirm all of your vendors and distribute the event schedule to everyone involved.
    • I will attend and manage the rehearsal of your wedding ceremony and go over any last minute details or changes.
    • I'll arrive at the pre-arranged start time on the day of your wedding, greet your vendors, assist with set-up and see that everyone knows where they need to be, distribute vendor checks, and be your guests' go-to person so you can relax and enjoy your blissful day!

$800* Something Borrowed: Includes everything the Day of Coordination package has to offer plus a little guidance from me. Think of me as your on-call specialist. This is for the couple that has most everything under control, but need a little help here and there. I can assist with the following and can provide two additional one-on-one meetings to keep you focused on your big day:

    • Vendor recommendations and on-site visits according to your wedding vision
    • Vendor negotiation
    • Wedding party attire research and wrangling
    • Honeymoon and/or out of town guest arrangements

After a consultation, I will confirm the charge depending on how much time will be needed so there are no surprises.

$1200* Show Up & Be Fabulous: This package is for the couple that has big dreams, but would rather have someone else take the reins. Dream big, set your budget and I’ll come back with jaw-dropping ideas that will keep your guests talking about your incredible day! This package can be tailored to meet your needs. Here are a few suggestions:

    • Event design, research and implementation
    • Vendor contract negotiation
    • Invitation/paper design
    • Invitation mailing and RSVP tracking
    • Wedding party gift ideas and purchasing
    • Wedding website hosting and design
    • Assistance with other wedding related parties such as showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, tea ceremonies, etc.
    • Coordinate travel, transportation and accommodations for out of town guests and arrange a reduced group rate
    • Coordinate and suggest activities for out of town guests

After a consultation, I will confirm the charge depending on how much time will be needed so there are no surprises.

I have reduced my hourly rate to $35 per hour for additional hours outside of the packages. A travel fee may be charged for wedding locations outside of the Seattle/Eastside area.

Interested? Please email me and let me know a little bit about your wedding including the date (or desired date) and what services you are looking for. We can then arrange a no cost or obligation consultation. I am happy to provide photos from past events that I have produced and glowing recommendations from my colleagues.

Congratulations on your engagement! I look forward to helping you create the event of your dreams!

    Sincerely,
    Jenn West
