Candy Buffet

We are planning to do a candy buffet at our reception. How do you determine how many pounds of candy you need for 150 people?

    A lot of people recommend a quarter pound per person, so for you that would be 37.5 pounds.  I say get 40 pounds and call it good:-)

    Make sure your bags/boxes/whatever container doesn't fit much more than what you allot.  I was at a wedding where they gave out white bags the size of your typical lunch brown bag - which is WAY more candy than any person needs, and yet the first few through the line filled their bags to the brim; they ran out of candy quickly.
