Dress Question for Married Knotties...

I have my next and maybe final fitting on Monday and I'm worried about how I'm going to keep my dress from wrinkling before wedding day. Sheryl said that she can keep it for me til I can pick it up 2 days before, but at that point it will go into the dress bag and I'm afraid that even folding the train into the bag will wrinkle it. Then I need to hang it somewhere where it won't wrinkle, then re-bag it the next day to transport it to the hotel! What did you all do with your dresses to keep them from wrinkling?

Mine was put into the bag on the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding. My mom was also concerned about it staying in the bag for days. It was 100% fine!!! My seamstress pinned the train up with straight pins inside the bag. It was not wrinkled at all.Have Sheryl put the dress into the bag for you and it will be fine. When you bring it home, hang the dress in a closet so it doesn't drag on the floor. No need to take it out of the bag.

Mine was in the bag for 2 days and then on Thurs before the wedding, I took it out and hung it in our 2nd bedroom. DH didn't want to see it, so no worries there.  No wrinkles!

I put the top half of the dress in the bag to semi cover the dress up and hung it in my car and laid the train on the back seat. I picked up my dress the Wednesday before my Saturday wedding. We drove up to Maryland from out of town, but luckily DH and I drove separately since we had so much stuff so he couldn't see the dress in my car. Once we got to our hotel I hung it up in the closet, although I stayed in two different hotels throughout the weekend and I had to transport the dress each time since I didn't want to leave it in my car. Long story short, you can pick your dress up and just hope your husband isn't nosy and you can leave your dress out of the bag so it will hang and not get wrinkled. As a side note, my dress didn't get that wrinkled anyways, it's in the bag now, and I got married over 4 months ago and it looks alright, so depending on the material of your dress you could be fine.
