Ceremony Music

I am still trying to figure out what everyone should walk down the aisle to.  We are having a Jewish ceremony performed by a reform rabbi.  Are most people walking down to hebrew songs or something else?  Thanks for the suggestions.

We used Hebrew songs for the rabbi and cantor and the cantor sang traditional songs when we got to the chuppah. (Our religious bandleader took care of this, I don't even know what they played.)For everyone else, we used current, English music. My husband walked down the aisle to Another One Bites the Dust.

We used hebrew because that's what I wanted to use.  I think it's OK to go either way.

We used both Hebrew and secular songs (Pride in the Name of Love, Erev Shel Shoshanim and Feed the Birds).

We didn't use any religious songs. Vivaldi's "Spring", Holst's "Venus", and The Beatles' "All You Need is Love".

We are using secular songs for the processional, "Air on G String" and "Canon in D" and "Simon Tov", a Hebrew song, for the recessional.

we're walking down to non-hebrew songs... but the cantor got in touch with the classical trio about ceremony music, and we're walking back up the aisle to simantov (sp??)

for Jewish music, you can get the book, "Mazel Tov, Music for a Jewish Wedding," which contains the sheet music and has arrangments for weddings. We used Al Kol Ele and Dodi Li for processional, Erev Shel Shoshanim for me (the bride) and Simon Tov/ Mazel Tov for recessional.

We did not use Hebrew songs.  However, we did avoid "Here Comes the Bride." (The composer, Wagner, was a notorious anti-Semite and the official composer of the Third Reich.)  We used a selection of classical music.  The list of pieces we used is here.

i'm about to get married in 11 days in vegas and we're having our ceremony performed by a reform rabbi.  the groom/wedding party are walking to "and i love her" by the beatles, i'm walking with my parents to "o" from the cirque du soleil show and the recessional is the rocky theme by bill conti (we're originally from philly).  i had thought about doing hebrew songs, but i liked the ones that i picked better. ;-)good luck!
