Dual Photographers

Is 2 too many for a small intimate wedding? I am thinking 30-40 people. One of the photographers I am interested has packages that all include 2 people.

While I don't think you can have too many pictures of your wedding day, I wonder if two photographers would be intrusive. You know, two strangers wandering around snapping away. But a good photographer (IMO) is pretty invisible.

    I'm no help.

I am only having 60 guests and my photography package has two photographers and I am thrilled about it. One can catch the groom while he's getting ready, the other will be with me. For our first look we will get pictures of BOTH reactions, from different angles. And some of my favorite shots of weddings are candids and a second shooter will always "see" something differently than the first. Besides, if it's a good price and you get two instead of one, why not? I don't think it's something you'd regret personally.

Sweet, you all rock :) It is definitley a good price for 2 I think, and really great pics to top it off. I just needed some reassurance.

I think two is great, but depending on the cost, is not necessary. It all depends on if you want to spend the extra money. Or maybe it's included at no cost in your package.

My FI is a photographer and I have been an assistant photographer for weddings he has shot. I think two is great because you get two different angles, two different styles and when one doesn't catch a moment the other does.

It is also great if one photographer is taking pictures of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen are just sitting around the other photographer can take the shots of the groomsmen. It means more time efficiant as well.

[QUOTE]The thing I like about two photographers is their ability to complement each other. One can be taking the candids that pop up while the other is setting up the formals, etc. One can be taking shots of you walking down the aisle with your dad while the other can be catching FI's reaction to seeing you as well as the guests, etc. I think as long as you meet with them and know that they aren't the type who is going to be overly in your face and intrusive, two can really be a good thing. Plus, you can have one taking pictures of you getting ready and one of your FI getting ready (if that's your thing). Heehee, can you tell my photography package gets me two photographers? :)
