VENDOR HELP!!

Hi everyone! I am currently planning my wedding for August 2010 in West Chester, PA.  I wanted to see if anyone has any advice for the following: officiants(getting married outside at a golf club), photography, and dj.  We do not have a very large budget so we need people that are good but also affordable.  Please let me know if you guys have any ideas.  Thanks!!!

    I am not really sure how much an officiant should cost.  As far as the photographer, we'd like to spend less than $1500 and for the dj around $500.

    For a photographer under 1,500 I would suggest Ryan O. Photography, who friends of FI used last year. .If you can bump it up to 2,500, I would suggest Sarah Schulte, who I'm using, or http://www.premierweddings.tv/, who my FSIL and FBIL used. Both are very personable, and the kind of personality you would really want on your day.DJ I'm using Schaffer Sound, and they are around that price point too...

    For a photographer, we're using Linked Forever -www.linkeforeverphotography.comThe photographers seem really sweet, flexible, and laid back- and we found that they had the best value for the $$ as far as packages go compared to some others we looked at. Check out weddingwire.com too, that's where we found them and we found most of the photographers we met with.A tip for finding a photographer on a small budget: it's really hard to do and really furstrating.  We thought we wanted to spend a reasonable amount - but it seemed as though a lot of them basically laughed in our faces when we told them our budget. But keep searching and you'll find the right one- don't settle for what you don't like or for packages that don't have what you want - it's a pretty important thing to just settle on.

    We are using DJs Available. They are very reasonably priced (just a little above your budget).

    Welcome!   For photography if you can bump up your budget a bit I highly recommend Sarah Schulte. She helped us customize a package for our needs & she really is the greatest. We are so happy & confident in our choice. She's a fabulous photographer & one of the more popular choices on the boards. Kara shot our epics down in Avalon & we LOVED them. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. She is very personable & made the shoot fun. We got to see each DJ in action & Terry is the one that stood out to us the most. He is professional yet fun, personable & you can tell he loves what he does. We are thrilled with our choice. I highly recommend attending one of their shows. They are also in your budget.HTH!

    I havent seen their work in person, but Foschi Photography in Wilmington, DE (Naamans Road) has reasonable pricing for full packages.  They aren't far from West Chester.http://www.foschiweddingphotography.com/

    We got married by Maria Odilia Romeu from Journeys of the Heart, who was absolutely phenomenal.  I'd recommend any of their officiants.  Depending on what you're looking for in a photography package, $1500 might be a little low.  Are you looking for coverage and a CD, or an album as well?  I'm going to throw www.richlphotography.com out there, as I know they can work within your budget.  I can give a lot more info on them via e-mail - colinandheather at me dot com if you're interested.

    For DJ I really like DJ's Available who are pretty budget friendly. Sorry I don't have the slightest clue about an officiant but for photography I LOVE Marc Anthony Photography. Marc, the owner, is so funny and nice and he has such a great personality. His work is so beautiful and artistic and his price is perfect. You can give him a try.
