Hi Dana! How are you? Welcome to the CFL board. WOW you have a TON of time to plan your wedding. That being said, your tastes (and possibly economics) will probably change over the next year or so, so my advice to you is to do your research, and then wait for another year (or slightly less) before you book anything. I recently got married at the Grand Bohemian and I liked the venue a lot. There were a few service issues, but the girls here make fun of me b/c they think I'm high maintenance (really it's b/c I have high standards and expect a lot from professionals). But would I recommend them again? Yes, in a heartbeat! If you're going for an urban/city vibe and are looking to accommodate that size of guest list, the GB will be a good option in your budget, as will the Citrus Club (both downtown). For something more charming in feeling, the Isleworth Country Club is gorgeous. It's right on a lake and the club house is absolutely beautiful. Some cool resources btw are links to various planning or married Bios that you will find at the bottom of each knottie's signature. You can get tons of inspiration and ideas by going thru them. GL and let us know if you need any help with anything! We're happy to help with your planning along the way :-)

Hi Dana! I see we have the same major! Although I am not doing the pre law track. What type of law are you going into?I agree with gorjush...wait for awhile before you book anything. Do a lot of research!!! I got married at the Portofino Bay Hotel and I HIGHLY recommend visiting their venue! Also, the Waldorf Astoria just opened...beautiful site! Getting married at a hotel is awesome because everyone is already at the site so you do not have to worry about guests traveling (or traveling yourself!)Also, the CFL Knottie Bio is a great place to get vendor ideas (as previously mentioned). I have vendor reviews in my bio of a lot of vendors who are popular on this board. Happy Planning!
