First Post & Venue Question

I just got engaged and am starting to plan for a Cotuit/Barnstable wedding next fall!  We are going to be married in Cotuit and are trying to brainstorm reception venue locations nearby.  We are having about 80 people.  Ideas?

    I don't have any suggestions for you (I'm getting married in Pocasset/Bourne), but wanted to say congratulations, and welcome to the board!  Happy planning!

    Welcome to the board!What about Willowbend? It isn't too far from Cotuit/ Barnstable. Or Dan'l Webster Inn & Spa, Popponesset Inn, or The Country Club at New Seabury? I am not too sure but I found the website below that has a bunch of different venues on the cape, which might be more helpful:http://www.weddingsoncapecod.com/receptionsSorry I cant be more of a help!     I am getting married in Cotuit also.  My fiance's family owns a golf course here.  I say it really depends on your budget and how far you're willing to have your guests travel.  There are a ton of places in Barnstable, but none in Cotuit.  Except Willowbend.  And Willowbend is very expensive.

    Thanks for your help Ladies! MeaghanandMichael - the Popponesset is really nice.  It's just that I worked there doing weddings for 3 summers in college.  So I just don't think it would feel 'special' to have our wedding there.  One of my friends got married there last year and she loved it too! louloudi87 - Wow! another Cotuit wedding!  I know your fiance's family, congratulations!  they are super nice people!
