I have less time than you do, and we just started our dance lessons. We're using Dance For A Lifetime. I really enjoy the instructor. He's real easy to work with! Here's their website: http://www.danceforalifetime.vpweb.com/default.htmlGood luck!

ow many lessons they recommended for you to take.  The problem is that I am in CT, he is in TX and the wedding is in MA, and we wont really see each other until the week before the wedding, so i need someone who is really good to teach us in no time pretty much

Although we are both in Texas, FI and I are terrified of dancing. So terrified, that I could not get us to take lessons until this last week before the wedding. Lazy and terrified, I should say.We are doing 2-3 private lessons and we had our first yesterday. During the lesson, we improved immensely and both felt a ton better about the whole thing. We are not doing a really complicated dance, but both of us are fine with that. We are doing the rumba, I think.Anyways, I will recommend the place that we went to, because they are great. We went to Go Dance. Here is there website:http://www.godancestudio.com/

I second Dance For A Lifetime! John Malone is the instructor, and I would call him and see if he has recommendations for how many lessons you'll need... you might have to do more than 1 hour at a time, but I dunno. http://www.danceforalifetime.com

I have to jump in and rec our dancing instructor - she is AMAZING! Our wedding is this friday, and we decided at the beginning of last week that we needed some help with dancing. We met with her for about an hour and a half on Friday and actually feel confident enough now that we're good to go. She's even throwing in an extra session on Wednesday to teach us some extra tricks and make sure we feel really solid. Her name is Kjersti Burnham and she works at multiple studios, so if you want her information, just let me know! She's amazing and I love her. sweeting09[at]gmail[com].

We did a couple's shower at Austin Dance Institute and learned 2 dances that we could remember at our wedding. They were great to work with, we highly recommend them!
