Nailtiques

Have any of you heard of this stuff?  It's a nail protein that comes in a bottle (just like nail polish).  I went to visit one of my friends this weekend and her nails were BEAUTIFUL!!  She used to get them done all the time, but it was geting time consuming and expensive.  Some one told her about this stuff, so she started using it and I swear her nails still look fake.  They were really long and so strong.  We've been friends since college and her natural nails were never like that in college.  I went to Ulta today in York and they were sold out of it.  I asked some one that worked there if they had any in the back and she said they can't even keep the stuff on the shelf that it goes so fast.  I remembered my friend telling me that you can also get it at Walgreens, so I just picked some up at the Walgreens by my house.  It's expensive, $18 per bottle, but a bottle should last you 5 or 6 weeks.  I'm going to start using it today.  I'll let you girls know how it works.  It worked great for my friend.  If I wasn't such good friends with her, I still wouldn't believe her that those were her natural nails, but she obviously has no reason to lie about it!Have any of you heard of or tried this stuff before???

Maggie, what does it do?  Does it strengthen the nails?  I wonder how it does that!  That's so exciting, because I get my nails done (gels) every couple of weeks.  It gets very expensive, so this would be a great alternative!  Keep us posted!

It says it's a protein that strengthens your nails.  I read lot of reviews online and they're all pretty good.  I got my first coat on now!  Just looks like a shiney coat of clear polish.  I'm supposed to put it on everyday.  We'll see how it goes.

oh and they have a kit for damaged nails in this brand (nailtique).  it's specifically for people who just had artificial nails removed.  i didn't see it at ulta or walgreens, but you could probably order it online.  i saw it when i was looking online for reviews.....fyi, if you decide you want to try it out and quit getting your nails done.

I never tried Nailtiques but I used to use a Sally Hansen product that worked really well to stregthen and grow, and it looked like clear polish on your nails. I think it was about $6 and you can buy it at a lot of places like Target or CVS. Also try taking calicum pills, I noticed that they work wonder for my nails! Here's a link to the Sally Hansen product http://www.sallyhansen.com/product.cfm?product=115

You'll definitely have to let us know if it works.  I am horrible with biting my nails, and I'm willing to try anything.  I'd love to have my real nails at my wedding... so hopefully this could work for me!  Let us know and thanks for sharing :-)
