I didn't either for the longest time! First, I picked a font that I liked. I went to sites like dafont.com and other free sites and downloaded some that appealed to me. Then, I went into Microsoft Publisher (but I'm pretty sure that Adobe Photoshop works just as well) and wrote out our initials and names in the fonts that I liked. To do this, I created a text box for each letter or name that I was working with. Then, I moved the separate text boxes around until they were positioned in ways that I liked. I then higlighted all the text boxes once I was finished and made them a group to complete the look. After I got comfortable, I experimented with including ampersands (&), dates, and colors. I made LOTS of versions, but here are a few of my favorites: (I haven't done a PIP in a long time, so I hope it worked.) Good luck! I promise, if I can do it, you can do it!

o wow- okay i will take a look at youtube.com tomorrow when i have some free time and see how it works. wow i love both of yours but i espec. love the first one. i will take a look and hopefully it helps :) When I got into word - i got the text box part, but when i tried putting them closer together, it would erase part of the other letters (i dunno if that makes sense)... ? Then when i highlighted all the boxes like it says, and right clicked and clicked group, group wasnt highlighted (i couldnt click on it...). So i have no clue...LOL

I just went into Word, and I think you can play with the transparency of the text boxes. Right-click on the text box, choose "Format Text Box", and move the transparency bar over to 100%. It should work then. For the record, Publisher just came with my Office suite, so it's not like I bought new stuff for this. You should see if you have it too. If not, it looks like Word might be just fine. Thanks! I like the first one better too, but I have a TON. The tough part is knowing when to stop!

Oh, and I don't know what's up with the grouping thing. My only suggestion is to make sure that you have the entire box selected; sometimes leaving out a teeny corner of one text box won't count as it being selected. You can also hold down the shift key and click each text box and then group them. Grouping isn't 100% essential, so if it doesn't work after some tries, I wouldn't worry about it.
