Hey--I don't know if you've started to look for invitations or anything yet, but I met a woman at one of the bridal shows last year who owns Persnickety Invitation Studio.  I met with her a while ago, because I thought I was going to do matching invites and STDs.  She does a lot of custom invitations that I really loved--including assembly and everything else, her price was about the same as invites you would order from a catalog.  I thought of you because she is in your area.  :)  I just thought I would mention it!

aw...thanks for thinking of me.  I actually got invites crazy cheap at big lots.  They had a blow out sale of martha stewart wedding stuff and I got 200 invites there for a whopping total of $10.  Part of me would really like the fancy pocket fold stuff, but the ones I got are really very nice.  I might dress them up with a little cardstock, but even if I don't, I still think they'll look nice. I checked out the website and it looks really cool and I'm familiar with where that is, but I think I'll stay out of there so that I don't find something that I like better and undo all the money that I've saved! I just can't see spending a bunch on something that everyone will just throw away after the wedding anyway.

You're so right--lots of wasted paper...for me, I'm paying more for the ease and convenience!  I'd love to be a DIY bride--but this English teacher stuff...man, I'm swamped before during and after work.  I'm still awake--midnight on a Sunday--in order to have everything done!
