INVITATIONS--Ideas for cheap invites!

As you can see, this is my second post today...so I'm in planning mode!! You all seem to have such great suggestions and ideas, so I figured I'd ask:  Where did you get your invitiations and how much should I plan to spend there?  I'm trying to spend as little as possible.  THANKS!!!

www.vistaprint.com Is a great place to get paper products.  I have several friends that used the "oversized postcard" option for their wedding invites, and backed them onto pretty cardstock.  Sign up for the emails, and it is 50 oversized postcards free per order, just pay shipping.Vistaprint tips in wedding bio.

My friend is making mine with products from www.papersource.com I really wanted the very custom and "professional" look but in no way had $800 to spend on paper. It cost me about $120 for the paper, stamps, ink, envelopes and ribbon to make 80 invitations, response cards, reception cards and escort cards. If you're crafty (which she is, she made her own invties) it really shouldn't be too difficult. Papersource also offers classes to learn how to make them which is very cool! They're store is in Alexandria.

Check out etsy.com- you can normally find some very cute and unique invitations on there!

Find a local graphic designer that does it on the side.  Mine designed a graphic that we then used throughout the wedding, designed the invites, and assembled them (which most places do not.  It can take ages to stick everything together!)  All in all, it cost about as much as if I had actually bought the supplies.  I found mine through a local craft store.  (And I also ordered matching thank you cards and have used her for other orders.)

I second Paper Source.  I'm going to make my own invitations and will probably end up buying all of my products from there.  The store is awesome.  They have all kinds of pre-cut invitation styles in lots of different colors.  There's a store in the Reston Town Center, too.
