Goodness gracious. Vent #1: I showed my FI the design I wanted for the invitations and he said he liked them.  So, I sent the design to our designer and she just sent me my proofs.  Well, I showed them to my FI and he said he didn't like the polka dots!  Why didn't he tell me this when I showed the design to him originally?!?  We're still going with the design though because he said he doesn't care that much. Vent #2: My mom just called and said she invited two old friends to our wedding.  They haven't seen or barely talked to these people in years.  She said they'd let us know in a couple months if they'd actually be able to come.  Ugh!  I'd prefer to not have random people at our wedding.

    Kind of rude of your mother... and I think polka dots are cute! I hate guys sometimes lol.p.s. I just looked at your bio and noticed that you are majoring in English. So am I! As soon as I finish TCC I am starting my English major at FSU :)

    pag -- That's awesome.  I also work in the English dept.  Bayhunter was also an English major at FSU.  When do you finish at TCC?

    Awwww crap Navy! Are we finally at the point in the planning where this stuff is happening to us? Usually we just read about it and feel bad for other brides. We're getting close!

    FIs are silly- I like your design so dont change it!!Are the old friends invited with spouses- will 4 more be too much for your guest list?

    I finish in about a year. I would already be done but I discovered that college and wedding planning plus everything else i had on my plate at the time was too stressful for me. I took a break I would be done by now but oh well... sigh.

    It's just one old friend and his wife.  It's not too much for our guest list at all.  It just annoyed me that she did it without even consulting me first.  And I have no clue who these people are and we were trying to avoid having random people at our wedding.

    I feel you on #2! We're only having 25 people. So no you cannot bring Suzy Something who I've never met. *sigh*Oh and the kicker...after reluctantly telling some of my nosy coworkers (I also work for FSU :D ) about our small guestlist, they immediately asked if they were invited. -_-
