How much are you spending on invites? are you DIY'ing them?I just got a BEAUTIFUL proof today for an inviation suite but for her to do them is WAY out of my price range.

i spent $60 at target for DIY and i think they turned out great. that was for 100 invites. keep in mind- the number of invites you need isnt the same as the number of guests youre invited. a lot will be families or couples and this will lower your number of invites.

I did not have time to DIY, so I spent $200 on vistaprint.com to design my own (including RSVPs and accomodation cards, etc...). They are beautiful quality and I am excited!

no way could we DIY. we spent about $5.80 a piece to have them professionally done for pocket folds with a backing layer, invitation layer, two inserts and a monogram tag.

DIY'ed great pocketfolds with paper from anchorpaper.com, used wedding invites bought from target for the actual invite. Probably total cost around $100 for about 100 invites. (Including envelopes).

We are having about 125 guests. So we are thinking we need about 50-60 invitations. The ones I want are 17.50 per invitation. That's high! They are Beautiful though!!However she does have an option where she will design the invitaiton suite for me, and then I buy the vellum envelopes etc etc and print and assemble them myself.FH did buy me a super expensive laser printer for wedding projects. So I SHOULD put it to good use!

Ours were about $300 through weddingpaperdivas.com. I had originally thought about DIYing them but then I realized I'm not crafty at all and buying them were a lot less stressful for me.

For me, I just could NOT justify spending more than $100 on something that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is going to throw away as soon as the wedding was over.

I spent about $250 for my invites.(about 85 invites if I remember correctly.)  I actually had a local graphic designer design them and assembled all of them (including tieing them together.)  I really recommend going that route if you can
