Anyone using or used a photobooth?

I'm thinking about using a photobooth where guests go and have their pictures taken like they can at the mall.  It seems really cool because the pictures have your wedding date and names on it which I think is a cool party favor.  Anyone use one?  What are your experiences?  And what kind of prices were you finding?  The cheapest I see in this area is $600.

We had a photo booth. Not a traditional one though. It was where our photographers put a colored backdrop in an area in our reception and had a remote camera on the screen so our guests could take pictures of themselves. As the night progressed, the pictures became increasingly funny. We have all the pictures posted on a website for people to purchase. Let me know if you are interested in seeing the link. We paid $500 I think for our non-traditional photo booth.

flip 4em...Maybe I'm slow from drinking last night--but I don't get it....did the photog have something like a polaroid camera where the pics were instant?  Or did they people have to go online to see them?  And--was it just a camera stationed there and the guests push a button or something?  How did the photog do that?  Sorry---lots of questions because I'm not thinking straight today! THANKS!!!

no problem. it is kind of confusing to describe. there is a colored back drop and a real digital camera stationed in front of it with a remote for guests to pose and take their own pictures. unfortunately guests don't get to see the pictures immediately but that only adds to the suspense! the photographer posted them for our guests to purchase (but we will get them all on dvd in a few weeks). some of our guests didnt quite remember or understand that everyone will get to see them so once we told them, they kind of freaked out not being able to remember what crazy things they did that night. you can look at them here:

We had a DIY one.  It was extremely popular, and we got a lot of funny photos of our guests.

I just had one at my wedding and it was probably the hit of the evening.  I used maryland party rentals:  http://www.marylandpartyrentals.com/I ended up getting a thumb drive about a week later of all the photos but it came out with a print (guests could choose b/w or color) and then they got one half and you kept the other for your guestbook.  We ended up getting some props and as the night wore on, the pictures did get a lot funnier.I think his prices went up since I booked but I also shared the cost with the girl that was getting married at my site beforehand so we worked out a great deal.
