Help Me Choose

Help me choose between round tables, rectangles tables, or both for my reception. Do anyone have any pictures of a reception where both round and rectangle tables were used?

Re: Help Me Choose

  • For what it's worth, I HATE rectangle tables for weddings. I was stuck at one once and couldn't talk to any friends, because they were three people down. Round tables are much better for conversation.

  • I prefer round also, but it wouldn't be a huge deal to me either way.

  • I would say round is much better for conversation.

  • Round for guests, rectangular for the head table and food tables (that's how I plan to do it, we're having a buffet)

  • I'm having rectangluar and round tables, but keeping the rectangular tanles to a maximum of 6 people. That way they will be seated a maximum of two poeple beside each other.

  • As a wedding minister, I have been at  several receptions.  For an indoor reception, have the food set up on 5 or 6 rectangle tables and round tables for eating and conversation.  For an outdoor reception, all rectangle tables are fine.  They create a kind of picnic effect.  But either way, don't set more than 6 chairs at a table.  This looks like it is set up for more close conversation.  If your guests want to move their chairs to sit with another group of people, let them do it.
