Yay!! Reconnected

I got a message from my HS BFF.  We reconnected when I moved back out here in 2003 for a few years but she was still stuck in her abusive relationship.  I couldn't be her friend at the time because of her BF.  Anyway, she has left him (for the 100,000th time...hopefully for good) and contacted me!  I'm so excited!  Her and I were inseparable back in the day and we both overcame a very horrible incident together.  I missed her all these years and tried to reconnect over the years but her BF made it impossible.  She told me her mom still sees em as her other daughter...awww!

    Thanks Rebecca.  :P  I really hope that this time it's for real.  It was really hard to make the decision to give up on our friendship.  She just had another baby (her 3rd) so I can't wait to see him.  She says she has a ton to tell me.  She didn't even know I was married!

    Oh Wow! She has a lot going on.  That's good that she has you as a support system.I just met up with an old HS friend on Saturday, whom I haven't seen in 13 years.  It's awesome to reconnect with people.

    That's awesome Rebecca.  How did that go?  How did you guys find each other?  FB?  She was part of my support system when I was going through my divorce but it was really hard to talk to her with her BF around.  We lived in the same apartment complex right across from each other but I barely saw her because of him.

    We actually reconnected on Myspace about 2 years ago.  But, she is pursuing her singing career, so she has been in DC, Chicago, and now she is back here.  She is working in the studio in LA.  So, she found me on FB and was like let's meet up now that I live out here.  She is 2 years younger than me, so when her brother graduated HS (same year as me, and I dated him) her family moved to Virginia.
