You should def. start looking at photographers--although I am sure you will be able to find one.  It wouldn't hurt to look for a limo, but probably not as urgent as the photog.  I love my photog--Heather Parker (heatherparker.com) but when we booked in May (for July 31) she was filling up fast.

Highly recommend Millers Florist at www dot artmillersflorist dot com-- she'll drive out to where you live for the initial meeting.  Plus, her prices are amazingly inexpensive.  My bridal bouquet will be UNDER $100.  For orchids, hydrangeas, and calla lilys.  So, I definitely recommend.  And your still ok on the flower timing, my wedding is a month before yours and I just picked my florist in the past week.I don't think you need to rush the limo just yet.  But get on the photographer... I'm using Danielle Aquiline... But I think she's booked for next year.Good luck!!!

Defintely start booking!  We started looking in July for a Sept 2010 wedding and found most photogs were already booked.  Now I am working on florists and finding they are booked up, too!

Yes!  Plan now.  It only makes things easier down the road.  The longer you wait, the less choice you will have.  I used Karen Steen of Lockport.  She works out of her house (used to own her own shop) so you don't have the overhead of a floral shop.  She was amazing!!  Just google her.  Best wishes.  G & R photography is a small company.  The owner will shoot your wedding with another photographer.  Ruben is great!  I suggest him for sure.

Florsit: Kio Kreations...Kristen is fantastic, and works from home, so she is crazy affordable.  She also has great ideas, whether you do them on your own, or she helps or does them with you.Photography: Timothy Whaley...great customer service, great photographers, great packages...if you are looking for something smaller, go for Matt Schademann....A-Mazing...

You will always be able to find florists, limo companies and photographers at any time. There will always be some one with an opening. It just depends on how nice you want them. Those ones will book up early. The florist we hired is Roscoe Blooms and the photographer is Heather Parker. We have not planned on whether we are doing a limo or trolley or both yet.

RELAX...I'm getting married July 24th also. You have a venue right? You will want to get a photographer ASAP. The big things are venues, florist, DJ and photographer. I have 3 out of the 4 and I'm sitting pretty. Doing the leg work now(for a DJ), plan on making a decision Monday. Kio Kreations is booked for that day.

I second David at Enchanted Florist in Orland Park.  I loved our flowers.  He is in the process of making a wedding gallery page so you can see his work - here's the link he made for our wedding and you can get to others from there as wellhttp://www.enchantedweddingflowers.com/Kristen_and_Ryan.php

Here's some help with photographers: Studio R, Joshua Albanese - both in ChicagoHazelton Photography - GenevaRelax, breath, you have time.  Book your photographer next after researching some of the suggestions we've all made.  Then move onto DJ and florist within the next month.

I'm using Jim Stupegia for photography. He did my brother's wedding and is a very personable guy. We're going with Willow Florist in Willow Springs. Who are you using for a DJ? I'm having a hard time finding one that's affordable and reliable one.

THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!! Thanks for all your help. I am up for any and all suggestions..I am so not a planner....I am a huge procratinator (all of my life).... I already booked the church and the priest we wanted, our reception (Brookfield Zoo) and the DJ (we are using Show on the Road even though I have seen another post about them not being so good....I have been to 7 weddings where they were used without a prob)....Dan already took care of the tuzedos (he was all worried about it and registered the wedding early...he claims he wants to look good...I think he wants to more involved than he says he does :))......

I used The Enchanted Florist in Orland also.  I loved working with David, he is so easy going and will work with any budget.  He was one of the best vendors I used, although I didn't have a problem with any of our vendors, but he and the reception venue were my favorite to work with.  Well, and the DJ, but he's a friend, so of course he was fun to work with!
