is it bad and wrong

that IMH the rehearsal dinner is not a big deal and in a way waste of money for me at least? I really just feel like doing something fun and casual. I mean it not so much the money factor and I know my moms going to want to be traditional etttc but I figure that's like 500 bux we can spend on ourselves

No its not wrong at all. Lots of girls have a very fun and casual RD, like you said not just for saving money just for more of a relaxed setting. Its a great idea! You may think of it as a waste of money for you, but not everyone does and its important to some people. Its all about your own personal preference.

No, it's not wrong. And to be honest, I never heard of a rehearsal dinner until I got on the knot.. and I'm not having one.But if you are going to have one, it does not need to be formal. You can get together somewhere else for dinner or go home and order pizza, takeout, whatever your heart and wallet desire! =P

I think the idea of a casual rehearsal dinner sounds great! You are going to be having a formal party for your reception so why not relax and enjoy fun food for your rehearsal dinner? Anything goes!

Whatever makes you happy is perfect. We are ordering some food from an awesome Italian restuarant near us. We will be making a salad, buying a cake and using a social room in our condo building. Maybe $150 total? Do what feels right for you!
