know of a good seamstress?

Does anyone know of a good seamstress in san antonio, I recently bought my wedding dress from davids bridal and I love it, the style and material are great, but it lacks alittle bit of bling, i am looking for someone to put swarovski crystals on my dress, I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you

I know one of the girls on here has used Diane Ackerman from The Threadbender (http://www.thethreadbender.com/) on her dress and was very pleased. She was having a bunch of work done on the dress, like completely reshaping the dress I think from A-line to trumpet, and said this lady did an excellent job. I'm not sure of her prices though. For alterations (I don't know what other services they provide like beading), I used Joan's Alterations off of De Zavala based on knottie recs and was happy with the results. The price seemd great too compared to other quotes I've heard from girls with their alterations. I know a lot of people also recommend Five Star on Huebner, but I think they can get pricey.

My planner recommended Mary's Custom Sewing (210-967-9902) - she only works on wedding attire.  I have my first fitting with her next week, so I haven't met her yet, but she seemed very knowledgeable on the phone.

I was the one who used Diana Ackerman!!! And I loved her...I think I'm going to invite her to my wedding actually. She did sort of remake my gown and that included taking off a panel of lace attached with crystals and sewing them all back on...lots of work. She charges $50 an hour but is a perfectionist. She could certainly do what you are looking for. Is she the cheapest? Probably not but she does only wedding dresses and is worth every penny. Ah yea, I must have been thinking of another knottie who had the re-shaping done. I knew you were very pleased with her work anyway. :o) Sounds like since she had to re-attach that lace and cystals on your dress it would be perfect for OP.

Oh yeah, I was also the one who had the dress remade...from a-line to trumpet and a straight neckline to a sweetheart...love her!

I also just booked an appointment with Mary from Mary's Custom Sewing. I'm meeting with her tomorrow. Her prices sounded very reasonable and she's super nice. Plus she can get my dress done within 2 weeks!! I know this is probably not normal for her all the time....so don't necessarily expect that.
