Where to go?

I am planning a surprise honeymoon for my fiance! This means he will not know where we are going until we get there! I am really excited about this and want everything to be perfect. FI doesn't really care where we go as long as he gets to scuba dive (he is certified) I just want a beach, nightlife, and a romantic adults only resort that is all inclusive. Any ideas?

Re: Where to go?

  • budget? how long do you have for the trip?

  • I would like to keep it around 3000 and we only have a week!
  • Well I am not sure about the adults only resort but for the rest of those things you could try booking a cruise. That is what me and my fiancé are doing. One that goes down the the Bahamas. There are excursions that allow you to go scuba diving (this would only be for a few hours so if he would want a longer period of time then that you may want to look elsewhere) but it has a great night life on the boat and the meals are included and all you can eat. We are going for a week and it's only about $2000 for a balcony room on Royal Caribbean Cruise line. The excursions are extra but I don't think you would go over $3000.
  • just keep in mind that a lot of cruises usually do not include any alcohol.  may not be a problem for you, but i know on our honeymoon my fiance and i are planning to have some drinks, that's for sure!
  • Thanks for the suggestions ladies..We've done the whole cruise thing though..we were kinda wanting to just stay at a resort for a week..were looking at couples resorts in Jamaica?
  • I don't know about much Jamaica, but you can definitely do an AI in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area in Mexico for that price.  We're going to the Royal Playa del Carmen for 7 days with airfare for less than 3k.  It looks so nice, I can't wait!
  • Go to Cabo San Lucas... It is really nice..We stayed at "Dreams Los Cabos" resort and it was all inclusive... I think the trip cost us around $3k- $4k
  • visit bookit.com--GREAT prices!  seems pretty reputable (a number of people on this site recommend it) and i think you will be able to find exactly what you need.  good luck!
