Good Photo/Reveal Locations?

Our original reveal and outdoor photo spot may not work anymore, so FI and I are trying to think of a new place where we could do our reveal and outdoor photos if the weather is nice.  We'd like to do it on the east side of the city, Fells Point, Canton, etc, but somewhere with good scenery and lots of *easy* parking!  Any suggestions?  If you know of any great indoor locations on that side of the city, please suggest those too!

I'm struggling with this myself. My photog recommended a park close to our church so we are planning on going there but it's going to be a little chilly. If the weather doesn't cooperate I'm not sure where we'll do our reveal. Sorry, not much help I know.

What is your idea of good scenery?  Trees? Water? Baltimore-like views?  Patterson Park in Canton is a nice, pretty park and it is lined with row homes, so you know for sure you're in Baltimore.    The water views from Canton are kinda' crummy...mostly industrial. If you go to the end of Broadway in Fells Point, you've got decent water scenes and cobblestone streets.

We actually ended up not picking our reveal location until the morning of the wedding.  It was a little outcropping of trees right behind the hotel.  I had originally wanted to do the reveal at the park where we were doing the bridal party pictures, but it would have been too much to try and get us all out of the hotel with out seeing each other.  Plus we would have had to arrange another set of transportation, so we decided to do it at the hotel. The up shot was that our parents got to watch it from the window of the suite where I got ready.  In the video there is a shot of us at the reveal and he pulls back and you can see our familes in the window, which was great.

Googs- all of the above!  The problem with our original spot is that b/c our wedding is on a Friday, the time that we're doing our reveal & photos coincides with when people get home from work, at which point the park basically turns into an off-leash dog park.  I didn't even think about it til I woke up this morning, it was the first thing that popped into my head out of nowhere- dogs running around me in my wedding gown, not the smartest idea!  I have the same concerns about Patterson Park, but it probably wouldn't be as bad.  I'm getting ready at the Hyatt, FI is getting ready at our place in Canton, and the church is 5 minutes from our place.  So I want to do the reveal on that side of town, doesn't make sense for him to go from Canton, to the Hyatt, back to Canton/church, back to the Hyatt.  Fells Point would be great but the guys would need to find parking.  I might ask our photog about Fells Point and Patterson Park and see what he thinks!

You can also go to the Frederick Douglass- Isaac Myers Maritime Park ("park") in Fells, which is at the western end of Thames St.  We looked into having our wedding there.  There isn't grass, but it's a big promenade on the harbor with great views.  I think there is parking there that you could use.  There is grass space somewhere.... a coworker of mine got e-pics there and it was really pretty.  I will ask for you!

OK, talked to my coworker-- her pics were in Fells where Bond and Thames intersect.  It seriously had everything-- there is grassy park-like area, water view, buildings, the cobblestone streets...  The pics were so great!

And parking isn't as bad as you think in Fells, as long as it's not a Friday or Saturday night!  There is often parking off of Aliceanna near the bread bakery, and it's not much of a walk.  You, of course, can be dropped off right down by the promenade.  I'm thinking you'll find better spots in Fells than in Canton...Patterson Park has dogs too, but it's so big, I can't imagine that the whole place will be full of dogs.  I still think most of the water views from Canton are ick, but right by Bay Cafe, there are all the nice boats and close to there, the nice condos where Michael Phelps lives.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll scope out the Bond/Thames suggestion and parking situation on my way home from work tomorrow. I guess it would only be maybe 3 cars finding parking. Are there pretty water views from that part of the waterfront promenade?

If you home is that close to the venue, could you do the reveal there?  I think that would be really special.

It would be awesome if we could do it there, but it's a 1 bedroom condo :-)  Lol.  There are some decent spots around the building that would work for a reveal and candid shots, but nowhere to really set up for formal group photos with an OK background.
