Altering jeans?

Has anyone ever had jeans altered?  I HATE buying jeans and I can never find any that truly fit. If they fit my thighs and butt, then I can fit another person in the waist line.  I live in Denton, so any recommendations within about 10-15 miles are appreciated.

No rec's but my friend does get her jeans hemmed so I'm sure someone could do other alterations I would think anyways. GL with your search!

First of all, I totally feel you. Second of all, I once took a bridesmaid's dress to that bridal shop just off the square. I can't remember the name, but it's across from Banter. I bet they can do it for you, but just know that they won't call you when it's ready, you have to call them or just go by to pick it up.

I get ALL my pants altered, for that exact reason.  I use a place in Flower Mound, near work.  Probably not convienent for you, but I'll get the address if you want it.  They always do a great job.

Yes! I am five foot nothing and when I went to UNT I went to Sylvie's alterations on University and Fulton she is really nice, it takes her right at a week and I think it was less than 10 to just alter them, if they are trouser jeans and have a thick hem that you want to keep she will charge 18, but does and amazing job and is really sweet!

Is it free if you buy jeans at Nordstrom, and will they alter the waistband, or is just hemming included?

not sure about the waistband at nordstroms, when I worked at the buckle if the manager was nice he would have the seamstress do the hem and put darts in the waistband for free with the jeans.
