Comfortable heels?

I just spent all last night in agony after wearing heels at work.  I was on my feet non-stop for 9 hours (no clue how my hair stylist does it!) and definitely don't want to feel like that after my wedding.  Do any of you have recommendations for brands that are more comfortable than others?  I've also thought about getting some platform flip flops to wear later during dancing, but would like to avoid that if I could.  Thanks!

My most comfortable heels I have ever purchased were from Hush Puppies...but then again I own like 6 heels and the rest are from Kohls and Payless.  I'm not a heel person.

  • I would recommed that you buy a pair of wedge/platform flip flops for later in the evening.  No matter how comfortable a pair of heels are, after 6 hours or so in them you feet will start hurting no matter what.

The most comfortable pair of heels I have bought are by Capparo.  I can wear these for a few hours standing and not have an issue, but like I said, I still reach a time where my feet start hurting and I just can't wait to take them off.

  • Aerosoles- super comfy. I also recommend Born and Naturalizer.

  • Cole Haan has heels that have Nike Air in their soles. I haven't been on their website lately so I'm not certain if they have anything wedding appropriate but it's worth checking out. I swear by their heels, soo comfortable.
  • I've heard good things about Butter. Also, try Cole Haan. They paired with Nike and they have air pockets or something in them that make the shoes much more comfortable and long-wearing.

  • Matcha pretty much named all my favorite comfy heels.  I have a  pair of Naturalizers with a 2"  that I used to wear running around the restaurant for 8-10 hours with no problem.  I also just got a pair of Naya boots with a 3 inch heel that wear like flats.
  • I have been hunting down shoes as well!  I have a few pairs of Butter (endless.com is the best place to buy them) that I am considering but I'm not convinced they will be comfortable the whole night.  Cole Haan didn't have anything the last time I looked.

I came across Hey Lady shoes last week and I am considering ordering from them, www.shopheylady.com. Their shoes are beautiful, unique and built for comfort which is important!  GL!
  • Cole Haan, Aersoles, Naturalizer, Giani Barini (I just purchased a pair of GB shoes from Macy's and they are super comfy.  They have memory foam in the padding of the shoes.)

  • Cole Haan definitely has wedding appropriate white satin shoes, and I think some colored and metallic as well depending what you are looking for.  A little pricey though!
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • The most comfortable heels I own are some black patent Guess heels.  I have worn them for upwards of 8 hours in a single day and my feet didn't hurt any worse than walking around in normal shoes for 8 hours (my calf muscles, however, were a different story!).  I'm working on breaking in my wedding heels, and they're pretty comfy for me too.  That brand is RSVP.

I wear heels A LOT, and what I've found is that I'm most likely to have the front portion of my feet hurt.  For pairs that are a little less than comfy there, as long as they fit well and you have the extra room, putting a Dr. Scholls toe pad in the front alleviates most of my issues.
  • I'm having the same dilemia... I used to wear heels all the time, but I had plantar fasciitis last year, and ever sense.. heels are NOT my friends.. but I'm on a mission to figure it out!!
If I come across any, I will repost so you know..
I also considered looking for some cute wedges that are comfy for the reception.. that way once, I'm done with pictures.. I can still have some height for the dress (my shoes won't show at all) and be alot more comfy.. we'll have to see!!
I liked everyone's idea's.. and now have a list to try when I go shopping next..
    :)~  So great....
  • I am a hugeeee heel fan. I have several in every color and height.  The most comfortable and best styles out there would have to be Nina.  I was recently a MOH for my BFF and I had Nina shoes and didnt have to take them off the WHOLE night!

    Good luck!  = )
