Hair & Makeup

Hello all!

Through reading older posts I was able to find some hair & makeup people that will travel to me the day of the wedding however, my wedding party & family are large and I need a few different stylists/make up artists to come out. That said, I've already been in touch with Be Beautiful and Special Events ... can people recommend any others for either hair and makeup? The wedding is in Lowell, MA. 

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    I used Special Event Beauty, but I also had a trial with Charlotte Phinney. She does both hair and makeup. Super nice, but I clicked better with SEB.

    How big are we talking?  For our wedding, my MOH, 6 BMs, FG, MOB, MOG, a reader, and I got our hair and makeup done.  We wanted to be done by 5pm or so, so the hair and makeup people both showed up at noon which worked for us.  Here's who we used.  Highly recommend both, and both travel to you day of.  Review and trial pics in my bio if you're interested

    We used Special events and they were super awesome to work with. What is so nice is they have a whole team so you can hire more than one person for hair and make-up. We used Noel and Rachel. Noel does both but I just used her for my make-up and rachel did our  hair. Maybe Noel can do both if Rachel is not finished she would be a good person to have help with hair. But honestly make sure you allow extra time to just breathe. i felt very rush with everything. Not them but just the whole day so allow plenty of time for when they do your hair and then you can just breathe. They were so awesome that I wish I had a big event to go too I would hire them in a secong again to do my make-up and hair. They were worth every penny.

    I used Karyn McHale for my 11/12/11 wedding.  She has associates she can bring in for big groups and she'll start as early as necessary.  We had me, 3 BMs, 1 MOH, and 2 mothers and she showed up at 10:00am so we could start photos at 1:30 for me and DH and everything went really well.  My makeup stayed on all night and with the exception of one curl that came down that I fixed (my hair is stick straight) after some serious dancing my hair was absolutely perfect all night long. Email her and she'll send you her price list and portfolio.  She's based in Peabody but she travels.
