Bridal Party Introduction?

Has anyone ever heard of or been to a wedding reception at which the bridal party is introduced all of the guys first then the girls, and then the bride and groom?

I haven't heard of it either. It would take much longer, esp. the larger the bridal party gets.

    Nope, never seen that.

It seems like it would take a long time and I wouldn't want to extend that personally.

We were thinking about doing that so we could play "It's Raining Men" when the guys came out, we thought it'd be funny.  But we nixed that because, like pps point out, it will take longer, and when I ran this idea by my BMs they didn't want the attention of walking in solo.

Nope, I agree that it would be much more time consuming. It's fun to have the pair called out together.

The way our introductions are being done, everyone has to come out by themselves, except for the bride and groom of course. We're still working on it though as we both have great ideas, just have to find a way to make it happen.

I never heard of this either and a co-worker was telling me that it happen at a wedding she attended this past weekend. I thought maybe this was something new I had not heard about!

Haven't heard of it.  In my experience, it's more fun to walk in with a partner, too, as you get to come up with something fun to do for your entrance.  For example, my younger brother and I air guitared (or something) into my older brother's wedding. Our MoH and Best Man did a fabulous British Royalty-style wave as they walked into my wedding.
