Wedding Coordinator?

Is anyone using a wedding coordinator?  Do you have any recommendations/advice?  I have not even started planning because I’m out of the country, but I know next year is going to be crazy and I was hoping to have a wedding coordinator, preferably a complete package.  I’m afraid it is going to be super expensive though.  Thoughts?  Advice?  Recommendations?   J   Thanks!   Beth

I'm using Becky Sosa of "Stress Free Events" as my day of coordinator.  She has been great so far. She also does full wedding coordination.

I have been thinking about getting a day of coordinator as well. I have only talked to one so far and she was about $900.

When I was looking around most day of coordinators were about $1,000. Some of the other coordinators say they have a day of package but it is really more than that they are about $1500. I finally decided on Diana Boucher with I do! wedding consulting. Most of my vendors had worked with her and highly recomended her. She has packages ranging from $1500 to $3,000. She has been in business about 17years here is San Antonio. I booked the $1500 ish package which includes some appointments and follow-up with all vendors.

I am a coordinator on the side as well as planning my own June wedding. I would love to help you out! I usually charge about 1000.00 for a full package wedding and am offering 25% off. If you want you can look at my site www.pinkpartyqueen.weebly.com for more info on me and my services. Congrats and good luck!

Stefanie Yandell is awesome! her company is called 'Your Wedding, Your Way'. Very reasonable pricing, and fun to work with. She is out of Austin, but also does weddings here in San Antonio.http://ywywaustin.com/default.html-Michelle

Thanks for all of the advice ladies!  I wrote down the suggestions to research.  I will definitely hire a planner/coordinator.  I want someone there every step of the way.... from beginning to end.  LOL

I second Your Wedding, Your Way.  Stephanie is absolutely fabulous!  My sister couldn't have made it through her wedding without her, and I don't plan on doing ANYTHING without her.... plus her prices are awesome... I think it's $600 for day-of.  Only downside is that she's in Austin =(... but she travels and with her low prices, it's worth it.
