Friday: Bio question of the day

Hi ladies, Today's category is favors....where did you get them and feedback? If you want to PIP a pic of what you got go for it. Thanks to foxyjean's pic the other day I was able to make it clicky in the bio. Jaimie

I have to catch up on the questions this week. I DIY'd my favors. I bought boxes from Michael's on clearance in pool blue. They had nice thick satin ribbon and filled them with my famous chocolate covered pretzels. I made a box for every guest and it took me forever but everyone loved them. I loved how the boxes looked on the tables. I wish I knew how to PIP.

I also DIY my favors. I bought some ivory boxes from Michael's and I painted them to give them a marblized look. Then I cut some wrapping paper to create a little box within the box and I filled it with the personalized M&M's. I closed the box with some ribbon. They all look a little different and I think it gives them character.

We did donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of DH's mom and my grandfather.  Guests also took home their photobooth pictures, and FIL ordered some pens with our names and wedding date on them.

I think we are making CD's for each guest, "Fall In Love" (for our fall wedding) with all love songs. Fi really likes this idea so I might as well let him choose something right? lol not that I'm opposed at all, I still listen to the one I got at a friends wedding 2 years ago all the time in my car

Thanks for the credit Jamie. Our favors were a personalized matchbook & tealight candle, wrapped in organza and tied with a personalized ribbon. The tealight was from Partylite cuz I love their candles. Everything else was purchased from the Knot store.

we are doing a candy buffet. So we got the candy from a couple of candy wholesalers online. Just be sure to check out more than one site because as we looked there was a huge difference in prices between a few web-sites on their bulk candy.

We ordered personalized m&m's in our wedding colors with our faces, our wedding date, and our names on them. I put them in little tulle bags and put those inside of tiffany blue boxes, each tied with a white ribbon with a favor tag on top. They came out really cute (PIB) but they were a lot of work (they took about 2 full days to do 120 of them). Also, the amount of m&m's we had to order on top of all the supplies we had to buy cost us a lot of money, when the goal was to save money in this area! If I had to do it again, I would probably order something already made.

Late to this post - sorry! For our centerpieces we are having a bunch of bud vases that will act as a favor for our guests (one per couple, each single person will also get their own)And at the end of the night - to end on a sweet note -a to-go station with coffee, bottled water and black and white cookies! (wedding colors are white, burgandy, black and damask)
