Limo Advice

Ok.  We are getting married in Lakeview and are having our reception at the South Shore Cultural Center.  We need a ride to and from (obviously).  I'm getting a little frustrated because all the limo companies are only offering THREE hour packages.  I don't need that - I just need about 20 min - at MOST an hour (if we want to stop for pics).  Any suggestions???

I had a real problem with this as well. Are you going to need transportation after the reception as well? Sometimes companies will do split time for before and after the reception.  Or I would try would calling Daly Limo.We used them for point to point service for a Bachelorette party. Try getting quotes for point to point service and don't mention it is for a wedding, just give the addresses of the places and that is it.  I had better luck with this, but in the end, we decided we needed the three hours after all.  Especially if you have a smaller group and need a regular limo instead of the larger SUV ones. I also had one co tell me that if we waited till a week or so before the event they could be more flexible with their packages.

What about the taking public transportation?  The L and the buses can make for great photo opps and it'll be cheap and kinda fun to have everyone take up on car/bus.  I saw it in someone pics and loved the idea.  I'm just sorry I'm not getting married in the city!  Good luck!

What time would it be at? A few limo companies will let you do pick up and drop off as long as it's before 7 pm. They usually only do the 3 hr min. for night events. Try M&M limo....that's who we used for pick up and drop off the day of the wedding.

Thanks - I will try M&M.  Its during the day.  I think an hour is perfect for us because I'd like to stop on the way to take pictures.  We also have a LARGE party (7 maids, 6 groomsmen)  Public transport does sound nice but unfortunately doesn't go to our reception.  I don't think I've ever actually driven to the South Shore Cultural Center - its always the halfway point on a long run/bike for me. Maybe I'll sew some biker shorts in my dress.
