We went to the UofM game. But we didn't celebrate sweetest day. Its a big time hallmark holiday. Go out west and ask them what it is and I am sure they will look at you like you are crazy

I sent DH a text! I did get him a slingbox yesterday though.

We used to celebrate it before the wedding, but now we're just too busy to even remember it. We celebrated him leaving for Brazil on Thursday night with a lobster dinner, hot tubbin' and some champagne!

Um, my Sweetest Day sucked. I was putting away our shower/wedding gifts and stupid me decided to use one of our new knives to cut the zip ties off our new utensils. Yeah, I cut myself deep. It was really bad, I was panicing, Andy drove me to the ER... Xrays showed nothing with the bone so they gave me 7 stitches and wrapped it up -- gotta leave them in for 2 weeks. However, there appears to be nerve damage as my index finger is blue, swollen, and I can't move or feel it. So now I have to go to a hand doctor on Wednesday to figure out what we need to do.

Oh, and it hurts A LOT. They gave me stuff in the ER which helped for the time being. But they didn't give me anything else so I've been taking motrin and my hand is kinda throbbing.

And it's a good thing DH loves me. I get queasy with this stuff, so I have yet to look at the area or stitches. Andy cleans it and changes the dressing twice a day while I close my eyes and avoid looking at it.

We were in South Bend for the ND/Western Michigan Game...but we don't celebrate sweetest day. My fiance is a history teacher and he has a whole story about the history of sweetest day and how it is supposed to be for people that don't have anyone not another valentines day. I'm totally ok with it...it is a midwest thing anyways.

Sweetest Day doesn't exist in Seattle. I didn't even know it was sweetest day until I logged on to facebook.

I had never heard of Sweetest Day myself until I moved to Michigan. FI says Sweetest Day is for the guys and Valentine's Day is for the girls. I told him his Sweetest Day present is us moving in together.

My birthday is this Saturday, so he planned a surprise party for me the day that we moved. I guess he figured we had most of his family there helping so why not have the rest come after we got settled. It was a surprise! I didn't expect for us to have boxes all over the place and up to 15 people in the midst of it.

Not sure if I would be too happy about this. When I move the last thing I want to do afterwards is well pretty much anything. I hope you enjoed your self though.

Julie: I hooe your finger starts feeling better soon. I cut mine often with our knoves and it hurts a lot, thankfully I haven't gone as deep as you.

Wow Julie I hope your finger feel better sound painful :(

Sweetest Day was ok I started by fixing both of my boo's (it was our weekend with his son) breakfast then we chilled around and watched TV. Later on in the evening I finally gave FI something he has been asking me for for 12 year.... I went to my very first haunted house! It was crazy Eurebus(sp) in Pontiac. We stood in line for an hour and a half and finally made it in. It took us 45 minutes to get through all the festivities and it turned out to be not so bad. I doubt if I will ever do it again but I took one for the team.

FI is also one of those guys that thinks sweetest day is for the guy and valentine's day is for the girl and used that as his excuse not to buy me a gift. After I gave him the what for saturday night and sunday morning I cant wait to get home today and see what my gift is! (If he knows whats good for him) lol

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Ouch Julie, hope you feel better soon.

We don't celebrate sweetest day. My birthday is always around that time so we celebrate that instead.

Ouch! Sorry about your finger, Julie! Hope it heals up quickly!

We don't celebrate Sweetest Day either, but we actually had a really fun day on Saturday. We went to two of my brother's games - one roller hockey and one football, and hung out with my family at those. Then later we went to pick pumpkins and go the cider mill and that was really fun. And then we watched movies and ate pizza.

Sorry to hear about your finger, Julie :( I had something similar happen when I was little with a piece of glass that sliced my ring finger just above the vein. Even though it wasn't a big cut it hurt like hell. I hope it heals up quickly!!

We've only celebrated sweetest day once (the first year we dated) and haven't really since. DH doesn't understand the concept of it being for the guys and made it about me. Which is why we have only "celebrated" it once, since it's so close to my birthday.

We did however go out Saturday night with one of DH's friends to BWW and Wiards for some haunted house fun. It was actually a nice time and not too cold.

ouch Julie! Hope it heals fast and they are able to get the swellling/blue to go away.

I heard on the radio it was sweetest day and promptly forgot. FI and I don't celebrate it or Valentine's Day. We are pretty good about doing little things for each other throughout the year so we figure why celebrate the same day as everyone else? :)

    Julie!! Eek, feel better!

We went to the MSU game but other than that nothing. I wished him a happy sweetest day and he got this panicked look on his face. He asked if I got him a card, which I technically did but totally forgot to give him, so we decided to forgo it this year. At least now I have his Valentine's day card ready!
