I am having my Reception there shortly and was wondering who else had used them. The part that I am confused about is what the 22% service charge goes towards.
I thought it would go towards the service staff, i .e. servers/bartenders/carving station attendant, however, I was told that it does not. And that it goes directly to the venue. Now, I know there is nothing I can do about it at this point, but it really infuriates me that the "service" staff is not gettng any of the "service charge."
Has anyone else had to deal with this? Do you know where the service charge goes? Should I still tip the servers separately?
TIA.
Re: Receptions Eastgate
OP, I asked my friend, and this is what she said:
"Good question!! I did not. I am sure my guests tipped the bartenders. We had a buffet, so not many servers!"

We used Receptions Erlanger. I had to pay a separate charge for the bartender, and then the service fee. I was told that covered the tip. I hope so, because I didn't tip anyone besides the bartender!
