Flowers cost?!

There was a poll on the September 2010 board that made me wonder.....what is the average cost of flowers here in the Lansing area? I've gotten a pretty good idea on photographers, videographers, DJs, etc., but this one boggles me! TIA! :)

I paid 175 for my boutineers (6) and bouquets (5) but I didn't do any floral centerpieces or any florals around my cake. I heard that McDowells in Grand Ledge is fairly resonable with thier wedding florals.

I just got a quote from April Irelynn Designs. She works out of her home in Trenton, but she is fine with traveling. My reception is in Brighton. She is making 5 bouquets, 7 boutinerres, one corsage, 2 hostess pin-on corsages, flowers for the cake and 10-15 centerpieces. My budget is $500 and she is under that by a little bit right now.I love the bouquet in your siggy! I'm going to show it to her. My colors are hot pink, orange, and green. I wanted gerbera daisies, but she suggested adding orange roses and green hydrangeas to lower hte cost and I'm really liking it. P.S. I didn't find anything at Fantastic Finds. I will pass on the card though!

It seems that mine is a bit expensive but I am having nothing to do with making any of the decorations.  My flowers including ceremony and reception are about $2,000.  I do have some large centerpieces as well.  I am using All Grand Events in E.L., however I am meeting with a florist back in my hometown for another comparison.  I checked with MPE in Detroit and they were about $1,000 more.

I payed a little under 2000 for my bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, 6 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, centerpiece flowers, church flowers/decorations, and chair covers.  I used Sebesta Design and she was awesome.  She works within whatever budget you give her and the final product was awesome.  There should be some pics in my bio of her finished product.
